There was an entire multi-page thread about the new songs that mods took down either last night or this morning, and still haven't put it back up. Not sure what the deal is, but if it was just people butting heads, it shouldn't take the better part of a day to delete a few comments and restore the thread so people can talk about the most noteworthy thing the estate has done all year

Langebleu seems to be moderating this site single handed these days. Give the guy a break. Some people do actually have lives outside of talking about Prince on a forum. Maybe he's busy, maybe he just can't be fucking bothered dealing with inane online squabbles at this time.
I'm willing to bet the thread will be back up again soon.

The last debate I saw in the thread before it was taken down was whether Prince is singing "All a share together" or "All to share together". It sounds like "a" to me. I can't hear a "t" sound. I suppose "to" might make slightly more sense, but it would still be awakward... and, as we've seen time and time again, Prince's lyrics often didn't make sense, so that's no proof the word isn't "a".

I'm pretty confident he's signing "a", but for the sake of argument, might he be signing: "All us share together now"? As in "all of us" but dropping the "of"? The "u" would sounds a bit like an "a". They're both "ah" or "uh" sounds.

Again I implore the org on what other professional label outside Prince land is this nonsense occuring? What is he saving the stereo mix for?

Bad MP3s, okay, maybe there was a precedent for those 10-20 years ago. Mono literally went out in the year 1968...

Someone on another site says this reminds them of Jay-Z's "Tom Ford."

Now I'm convinced Jay-Z mined the Vault for tracks to rip-off during the Tidal curation for Originals.

It's quite similar to "Tom Ford".

Lyrics are one thing, his titles, though, usually made sense even if you had to translate a Princebonic or two.

The multitracks would be stereo, though. They would have had to specifically fold the multis down to mono if the tracks are visibly one unified channel in an editing program.

It's 2 channels so technically, it's stereo but it sounds as if they took the tracks of the song and leave everything right at the center of the pan.

Yeah.
June and love4 have been MIA since a year or two ago, anxiety doesn't seem to have an account, mars has been MIA for about 12 years and militant and casey are the same person.
I'm going by the dates of their last posts though, maybe they're moderating in the background, but I doubt it.

BTW, is it my impression or the Estate didnt publish the credits for both ´All A Share Together´ and ´7´? I checked Princevault . com and they assume it was Prince playing everything on both (and it makes total sense), but I think it´s a shame that there doesnt seem to have official credits anywhere.

I got it from US iTunes. It was a bit tricky to find because it's not highlighted as a new release under Prince. I needed to search it a few different ways before I found it.
