Hi! Can you guys think of any P's song that starts right off with a scream? I can think of Get Off and Slave. I'm looking for wordless clean isolated screams right at the beginning of a track. I need it cause I want it to sample it. It is for a fun project which I will eventually premiere here on the org...could you guys please give any suggestion? I also thought that regardless of why I need it this could be one of those threads that ignites the showoff of Prince's knowledge

Just to be clear...a song like Sexuality, from the Controversy, album doesn't qiualify for the category, because it does indeed start with a scream but in conjunction with the instrumental part of the song.

Musicology matches the profile, even though I'm looking for more energic screams...

I was going to make the same point. The OP clearly already lists Gett Off, yet we've now had multiple people suggest it.

The OP also clarifies that he's looking for isolated screams without music, so Sexuality doesn't count. And yet, someone almost immediately replied with Sexuality.

thanks, that could turn useful, but as you noted the end of the scream is not isolated so it is kind of difficult for me to use .

I used some vocal isolator tools from some other songs, they are good, but not quite as clean as an actual clean scream.

I would say "Slave" belongs here. I could see there being some debate about whether or not that's a scream, but to me it is.

This may not meet you needs for sampling but there is a (mostly) clear scream/Prince "Ow wa" about 38 seconds into D.M.S.R. intro.
