Yes (The Family) and Lisa (Prince)

Has it been pointed out these resemble each other? A lot, in my opinion.

In fact, Princevault says it was originally titled Lisa and yet also says they're "entirely unrelated" (LOL).

Same driving groove most of the way through, the main thing shared is the chord changes/"chorus" if you want to call it that. "Some day we'll be together..." etc. That's on the money the same as Lisa.

Anyway, both great tracks.

tangentially related: that 40 minute rehearsal version of lisa is one of the most intensely mesmerising things he ever put to tape ever. i want hours more of that.

About 30 extra minutes of “Lisa” circulate, having been mislabeled by bootleggers. A very short run through of “Lady Cab Driver” closes the rehearsal. It’s very obviously the whole band soundchecking “Lisa”.
