The good news: a) they said 7 july, and they have released the singles today; b) the 7 sound quality is not the shitty of the mp3 "released" at the Celebration. Stop. After all, previous deluxe editions featured the unreleased material under the same header. If anything, this might rather point to being first tastes of a forthcoming D&P/Symbol deluxe box. Given recent proceedings around camp Prince, I wouldn't hope for that either though.

IIRC, the Prince Estate has not issued songs that have a soundalike "Prince" performing on them? Some might argue that Originals comes close.

As far as these 2 new releases, I don't mind the idea of random singles released throughout the year (they don't have to belong to an album), just make sure they're something great.

As of today, the MJ state is still the worst but i have the feeling those 2 dudes & Sista Sharon will do all they can to catch the King of pop Estate in the near future.

Meanwhile, make sure you don't miss those 3 new albums coming soon.... from Sharon N.

The art is terrible and these are insane choices for what songs to release right out the gate, but as long as there is a steady flow of music coming out I can't say I give a shit. The way Comerica was handling things sucked overall, I'm not pining for those days.

The cassette didn't merely say "The Vault". It said: "The Vault Vol. 1". Labeling it volume 1 certainly does suggest plans for a series.

With that said, the Estate is inept, so it wouldn't surprise me if there is no follow up.
