Prince: All The Songs is AWESOME I received "Prince: All The Songs" for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I finally got a chance to crack it open. . It's GREAT. Each chapter is filled with recording info and anecdotes. Lots of cool pictures. Any super-fan should have this in their library. . Beware, though, it's BIG. Like, Oxford English Dictionary big. |

I didn't buy the book because it's merely part of aseries by an editor . Not exactly an author. Rehash of things we know from old sources. ALSO-- go to Amazon and check books by that guy. You will see othrr "all the songs" books about others, republished with different cover photos. Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me. |

Its a great book..plus it was on sale recently for $30. At that price it is a steal. It is huge, with lots of pics. It is not all of Prince songs, but the ones he released under his name. To All the Haters on the Internet

I really enjoyed it. Lots of pictures I hadn't seen before, and several interesting bits I wasn't aware of in the write-ups of the songs. Much of it was standard stuff, and there were a number of mistakes including typos (most glaring one was a big title on one page that said something like "RINCE'S FIRST RECORDINGS" - note the missing P. Page 276 if you want to check) but I read it from cover to cover over a couple of weeks and enjoyed it. Definitely a coffee table book, and not an encyclopaedic thing with every detail you could possibly wish for about the songs. |
