"There's more to come. We're still working on it," Londell McMillan of the Prince Legacy said late Wednesday. "Part of this is the experience to celebrate Prince, not always about a show. Sometimes it's about paying your respect to the greatest artist of all time."

I can think of ways to celebrate Prince that don't involve fleecing $500-1200 out of each fan for a slapdash lineup. For starters, not referring to him as "the dead guy" in a morning interview where you also try to take credit for his industry success and comeback.

Or maybe putting out literally anything previously unreleased from his vault instead of rehashing the same shit on colored vinyl variants until that gets old and then releasing it yet again on black vinyl...

This sentence means nothing......really nothing......it's so simple to say....New music from the vault is on the way to be released in the near future or something like this ....but as usual this is in pure Mc Millan style of communication = pure crappy communication as usual !!!

JUST A REMINDER

"Charles Smith
Well done. I tried to warn my family not to deal with LLM. In fact, I told them to get him off the property! A confrontation ensued following my cousin’s memorial at Paisley Park when he realized Malcolm X’s daughters were with me.
He ripped them off too!"

Yeah...Sharon has no excuse.

Now, people will go to the Celebration and put some more money in these thieves' pockets. So sad.

You are correct.. how many times can we hear the same stories....

Why don't they just limit the panels anyway

Bring us there and give us
- new exhibits like the Shoes etc

- let us watch unreleased concerts

- let us listen to unreleased songs or even the isolated tracks like LGC at the immersive

- bust out the eras and let us explore - SOTT, Parade, etc.. those rooms are SO SMALL

Give me an exhibit of SOTT artifacts over a panel ANY DAY

- Open a frickin' WRECKA STOW for crying out loud!!!!!!

Come to the table with stuff like Ingrid, Madhouse, etc albums

AND THE SINGLES!

And Posters!

And ATTRACTIVE Tees and Merch (no bedsheets!!!!!)

Make it feel like an old school record store - just focused on Prince and the associated artists

COME ON!

I really hope theres a panel at Celebration where Londell or whoever wants to speak for the Estate, comes out and tells us all whats releasing this year and when. Or any other future plans or ventures the Estate have on the docket.

Almost like what movie distributors do with CinemaCon where they show sneak peeks and give dates for upcoming films.

That would be cool!

I'm going to Celebration for the first time this year and it'll be my second trip to the Purple Mecca (aka Paisley)

Tony M will be on the hip hop panel, but he said he had no idea until the folks at funkatopia notified him. You'd think the estate would reach out to him before funkatopia would.

The shoe exhibit was one of the best things that PP has done in a while. It was so awesome to see the towers of them.

TC Ellis was the first rapper signed to Paisley. He should be on the Hip hop panel

I don't quite get why "unreleased music being played" is making headlines on rolling stone and nme. i guess it's a good thing that it is, though.

Today is May 11th, Celebration begins June 8th - and they are still begging people to buy tickets.

This SHOULD HAVE BEEN the big year, the 7th year since his death, his 65th birthday -- but no. They dinked around, caused a popular manager to leave, others (incuding two excellent tour guides) have left after false accusations. What we see publicly (Londell and Sharon fighting publicly on Twitter, for instance) is nothing like what's going on behind the scenes.
This should have been the happy place. The important year. But no.

The "family" and Primary Wave took over in August -- what did they do, start planning Celebration in Feburary? What a mess.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

It was a well built structure. Each cube/section had mirrors on the inside on top of the shoe so you could see the reflection right above the shoes. Helpful for the shoes kept up high
