I was still hoping in a Parade SDE surprise announcement yesterday.

Waiting 4 D&P SDE...

Number of previously unreleased Prince songs released posthumously (excluding live):

2016: 1

2017: 11

2018: 9

2019: 40

2020: 45

2021: 12

2022: 0

2023: 0

Im completly out of the loop now, come on here may be once every few days to see if theres anything new. I thought the family now owned most of the prince estate now? So if thats the case its not surprising that its all gone to shit worse than before. Can anyone give out some positive news on the situation?

They're doing a great job, they now have limited quantities of 3rdeye glasses available for sale. What more could we possibly ask for?

They're busy fighting amongst themselves and chasing every non-musical avenue possible while a vault of incredible unreleased music collects dust. The pool of dedicated fans who actually give a shit about his vault is steadily dwindling every year but these clowns are too fucking dumb to ever realize it and capitalize on it.

Maybe they'll announce something on Prince's death anniversary ?

Yeah, because the only Prince fans in the world are the ones who congregate here.

The Estate should make Prince toilet paper with all the outtakes they are not going to release anytime soon listed on the paper so that we can flush our hopes everytime we take a crap

I simply didn't care about the at best mediocre tripe he released post-1995, and I said numerous times that the vault should have been monetized. Meanwhile you lot were saying with each new release "his best one in years", ignoring that you said the same about the previous ones and instead now pretending you never liked those ones that much.

It has been discussed here before, and SDE's surely still make enough profit.

Enough to keep things going, and give the incompetent non musical family hounds each a bag of fresh bones. And that is where the whole problem is. The bag of bones is probably never enough.

So the hounds bite and fight, spend probably more than they earn or think they deserve, and that's when shit hits the fan, imho.

We end up with no info, no nothing since two years, except for low quality produced trash like slippers, sheets, pyjamas... And that Michael Howe is out of the picture with no explanation whatsoever.

Now they want to keep us hanging on for nearly three months now, with the number '7'...

I don't believe anyone is saying the Estate designed a product knowing it would lose money.

Rather, they're suggesting the Estate designed the product fully expecting it to be profitable, but it wasn't. Once the product was released, it failed to sell as much as they'd estimated / hoped.

I'm not saying that is what happened. For al I know, the SDEs were massively profitable. I'm clarifying what was being suggested.
