Lovesexy (Stripped/ alternate album - NEW LEAK)

A version of the Lovesexy album, featuring just drums, a few synths and lead vocals (plus a few of Prince's vocal overdubs) is making the rounds.

1. Lovesexy (5:57)

2. I Wish U Heaven (3:03) - Slightly longer than the released version.
3. Positivity (6:58) - More reminicent of the early versions previously leaked. But obviously a very rough mixdown.
4. Dance On (3:51) - Sounds more like a rough mix. Mostly complete, but the mix is ver crude and seperated.
5. Glam Slam (4:22) - Mostly a stipped mix with just drums and bass.
6. When 2 R In Love (5:38) - Just a percussive mix with an extra "unfleshed" verse. Sounds like two vocal takes are playing concurrently.
7. Alphabet St (7:44) - Mostly percussive, but includes elements of effects, horns and synths and Bloody Mouth samples. Interestingly, the "ABCDEFG... God I love you, can't you see" erap isn't in this version.
8. Anna Stesia (4:50) - Sounds like the early version (and not the extra sections) with all the instruments, but the drums and vocals are most prominent in the mix.
9. Eye No.wav (4:15) - Early version arrangement, with drums and vocals most prominent in the mix.

Just put this on now, to me sounds really nice and clear and lots of low end! Minimal Lovesexy! So was this tracklist confirmed or just a tape that was put together with these mixes on?

before it gains any traction as an "early config" let it be known this is NOT a config and is in fact just mixes of the albums tracks very very likely made after all the tracking had been laid down, ie: quite a few of the multis aren't included on these mixdowns in order to... unknown, but probably to highlight some specific part of the music. percussive elements? to what end? remains a mystery and we don't know for sure.

this was shared on utube in 2018 and (according to more knolwedgable people) it's a tape Prince made after the Lovesexy album release for the bandmembers to rehearse there parts to for the new tour back then.
Some days later (aftr the Discord leak not in 2018 after the youtube leak to be clear for the people claiming I'm lying) a wellknown higher upper shared a similar thing for Sign O The Times with a really interesting mix of The Ballad of Dorothy Parker that could have been interesting on the tour.

Anyone know what happened to the place I originally got this from? Noticed it had disappeared. Shame.

The name was changed to 'Prince' and the owner changed his name to something else.
To much drama over there over practically nothing and then some british 'Peter' (proabbaly the same british 'Peter' that was banned from another community for scamming people and lying about the stuff he was given by someone who bit his head off and had him banned in 2019 from there) came in there with a dick measuring contest.

I think it's quite well known that parts of Alphabet St. were originally from Bloody Mouth ("Put your love down, baby...", and Cat's rap). However, I did see someone say that it recently leaked in some circles, along with 2nd Thoughts and some others.

I assume I am not alone in saying this is not anything other than the 9 songs in an early or alternative form compiled by an outside party. If for no other reason the early version of "When 2 R in Love."

Also, I know *haha* EYE NO and a few other alt takes of these were leaked a while back (the only 2 things I really remeber are the differen lyrics in "Anna Stesia" (was it something anout Matt or Eric and going to "Lovesexy land?" and in "Eye No" there is no "Spooky Electric" but just "demon."

Yeah I knew a guy that was a dancer who played me a few songs from D&P and prince with mixed to have some instruments louder.... he said what you said so they players could learn their parts.

*he did not offer and I did not ask for copies as I was not all that inrested in them. I do regreat not buying the GETT OFF damn near 10 min 12" from him for $20 or somerhing... he also had GLAM SLAM 91 (but no way he was going to sell that)

.

These are not early versions.

.

Don't you lot know anything? The *last* thing Prince recorded were his vocals.

.

These are blatantly obvious sparse mixdowns from the multi-tracks, stripped down to vocals and percussion and some keyboards, and in the case of W2RIL they let it run beyond its fade-out, thus revealing a previously unheard portion. This is obviously a tape made for musicians to learn their parts.

Slightly off topic. On Alphabet Street (This Is Not Music, This Is A Trip) what is the incredibly funky/trippy sound you hear from about 6:40 on untill the end, is it his guitar or a synth?

I always thought it was something similar to what he did on "It" with the vocals
being recorded through a guitar input or something like that. So I think it's his
voice, with some effect on it?
