So Spicer's something big is something that's happened every year since 2017?

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Sometimes I think people in Paisley world mistake "something big" for "something."

I have been asked not to say, but I think the information needs to be revealed and heard.

The song is this preview is the 2014 3rdEyeGirl re-recording of Bloody Mouth. The full version features Hannah and Prince doing a back in forth in which Prince screams the "I'm going to punch you!" and Hannah bleats the "in your bloody mouth!" line. The re-record, while it does reuse Eric Leeds' horn tracking, features additional MIDI horn and synth work from Josh, in addition to an un-used Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic era rap from Chuck D that was found deep in the multitracks for Undisputed.

I've never been but I need to ask.

Is it worth going to ?

What's the difference between a regular paisley park tour vs Celebration.

I understand that it was a thing right after Prince passed but it's been 7 years now and all of the iconic associates have already participated, shared their Prince stories.

So unless there's some special kind of unveiling of exclusive Prince footage/music, I would not be interested.

They're cool if you wanna just go have a fun little Prince themed holiday. You get some trinkets, see some familiar faces and new faces, listen to nonstop prince and Prince adjacent music, go to various parties, and just get the opportunity to exist around a bunch of other weirdos in the house that your hero built. I'd say it's truly only for the hardcore, those who are just happy to be there.

If you're not that obsessed with the world of Paisley, then the tours hit the mark much cheaper.

I'm obsessed with Prince, not sure if I'm crazy about protegees/associates or Prince adjacent things, like you won't see me lose my shit over seeing Michael Bland or Renato.

If you look at a calendar, the 7th is on a Wednesday. The 8-11 is leading into the weekend, from Thursday onward. It's easier for people to travel that way. That's the "something."

Prince calling his fans fams is even more cringe now hes gone.

All artists attempts to come up with a name for their fans are cringe but he could have at least come up with something better

Did Prince call his fan "fams", or is that something some fans just decided to call themselves?

It is super cringe. I never use the term.

I like FAM. It's endearing considering that fact that he never felt close to his family. We were like family to him.

Maybe he called us fams because he felt as close to us as he felt to his family. Not very.

there prob is something in him thinking of ppl not really close to him at all as his family.

but much as i hate these terms, lady gaga calls her fans little monsters (ok i suppose), charli xcxx calls them angels (even worse), prince calls his fans... fams. its unimaginative. he could have done better. its also just a bit off gramatically. a fam is a unit of people. are we all little units of fans? you cant pluralise individuals.

Something else to consider :

Sometimes black americans call each other "fam", it's something similar to "my homie" which means my friend.

As is true with a lot of phrases, as soon as "fam" moved into popular vernacular, the people who were guilty of appropriating and overusing it also became the ones to declare it dead. If you're looking to memorialize the slang trends of 2016, you may still be wondering, "What does 'fam' mean?" For starters, it's been around for a lot longer than you probably realize.

"Fam," though short for "family," doesn't literally mean your biological relatives; instead, it refers to the people in your life with whom you're particularly close. Your best friends. Your chosen family. "Ones that you can trust dearly," according to a popular Urban Dictionary entry from 2003.

"Fam" can be used as a standalone term, though more recently it's become intertwined with the phrase, "It's lit, fam," used both literally and ironically to describe situations that are either actually fun or really, really terrible.

1. i know that.

2. and obv i know prince had his own way of writing and speaking often.

so because of his history of 2. i think just using fams is a bit dull.

however, the point is, again its still grammatically a bit weird. like if he said 'hey, this new operatic rock banger, strays of the world, is for my homies', that makes sense. but again, fam is singular, so using fams for singular units (ie single fans) is just odd.

lol

What kind of family do you people come from where you only see them if you pay them tons of money? And they don't even talk to you when you do see them?

I'm scared for y'all's home lives.

Since we're bored because we're being neglected by the estate (they hate us ) and running out of things to talk about, someone should do a poll.

Did you agree with Prince calling his fandom FAMS ?

Yes or No ?

Maybe Funkybaby will be alone in this.
