it's not a bootleg, it was a part of an ahdioshow that was officially released on the npgmc

It's why maybe some people's copy of "Jukebox with a Heartbeat" as an individual track is especially bad quality, because it would have been transcoded from said 128kbps mp3 original. Basically turned into a low quality mp3, then said mp3 again turned into an even lower-quality mp3.

That's why my NPGMC direct download is better than Little Pound Cake's bootleg copy!

That's why my NPGMC direct download is better than Little Pound Cake's bootleg copy!

huh? wait, I don't have a bootleg copy, I was a member of the NPGMC and downloaded the best available file (iirc you could opt to download at 128 or 256?).

later the song popped up on many bootleg compilations as a stand alone, cut out of the ahdio show,
and no doubt the bootleggers tampered with the file to 'enhance it's sound', and thus mudding the
original download.

regardless, I think both the original download and the bootleg versions don't sound very good.

I don't think it was every available as an individual track, and the Ahdio Shows were 128kbps.

There was software around at the time (which I used) where you could just cut up an mp3, so no quality would be lost.
