I think Beautiful Strange would make a great tune for the opening score, maybe with slightly different lyrics though.
I would never have thought of Beautiful Strange - but now that I have, you’re absolutely right. In the same vein, When Eye Lay My Hands on U would be a good choice. I can see the Bond title sequences playing over both those songs.

I can imagine those supersexy, silhouetted montages right now!!!

Scarlet Pussy sounds like the kind of name a woman would have in a bond movie.

OK!

That does it!

The next agent is "Tripple Seven, 'OH!'"

Prince, Rogers Prince.

'Splits', not 'Moonwalks'.

Prince wrote the perfect Bond song: The Arms of Orion

Every time I hear that song, I see a typical Bond opening sequence in my mind. It fits perfectly.

NO...maybe for a Disney/Pixar animated movie...but not at all befitting a James Bond action flick.

Yes, I’ve always thought it’d be perfect for something like Beauty & The Beast

Wasn’t the b-side of Arms of Orion a re-vamped cover of a Bond theme…”The Spy Who Loved U In Me”
There may or may not be something coming!

It's also a shame that Dig U Better Dead Another Day just didn't work out.

A few of us commented that Magnificent (virtual b-side to Musicology in 2004) had a Bond vibe to it. Probably the chord choices or progression on those keyboard stabs. Worth another listen as it's a great little known track, maybe if re-arranged and slowed down with a bit more "orchestra!"

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Brosnan is number 1 for me. Timothy Dalton is number 2 and Daniel Craig is number 3. Mind you, they are the only James Bonds I've seen so I can't comment on Connery, Moore and that other guy who's name I can't remember.

I think he did, when I lay my hands on you would have been a great bond song. Obviously with a bit more on the production side.
