"Let's Work" aka "Socket"

The Edwards - "Socket" .... well, no secret where they got the inspiration for this song.

If it's been brought up here before, I've never seen it. Zaza send it to me today.

The vocal delivery in the verse is almost exactly that of "Cool".

Nice track though!

Also got some audio and vocal nods to Parliament's Theme from the Black Hole.

Yeah, someone mentioned it was "Let's Work" with a Morris style delivery.

Yeah, and honestly - feels like "derivative" is a mild way of putting a flat out copy. haha "Born This Way" was derivative" (or reductive, per Madge) of "Express Yourself."

This is sumfin' else. I can't believe there was never a lawsuit over this one, nor that most of us had never heard of it before.

It's a good thing there never was a lawsuit.

There are way too many lawsuits over these kind of unimportant things.

We're talking 1982, though, not today.
