"Let's Work" aka "Socket" The Edwards - "Socket" .... well, no secret where they got the inspiration for this song.
If it's been brought up here before, I've never seen it. Zaza send it to me today. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

The vocal delivery in the verse is almost exactly that of "Cool". "Whatever skin we're in
we all need 2 b friends" |

Yeah, someone mentioned it was "Let's Work" with a Morris style delivery.
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Yo! Super nice track. Thanks for the discovery.
Gonna mashup this one with the original. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972) |

Yeah, and honestly - feels like "derivative" is a mild way of putting a flat out copy. haha "Born This Way" was derivative" (or reductive, per Madge) of "Express Yourself."
This is sumfin' else. I can't believe there was never a lawsuit over this one, nor that most of us had never heard of it before.
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

It's a good thing there never was a lawsuit.
There are way too many lawsuits over these kind of unimportant things. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972) |

We're talking 1982, though, not today.
