He's not being a wanker if he's trying to teach you something so simple that you refuse to do for whatever reason.

That part. It's 2022. Creating a link, especially in a WYSIWYG dialog box isn't hard. At. All.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yeah, to say Beck isn't influenced by Prince would be obtuse.

I strongly disagreee.

In 2022, why would anyone need to know how to manually hyperlink a URL in a dialogue box? That's outdate technology.

Do you also think that in 2022 people should know how to start a fire by rubbing two sticks together? In 2022 should people also know how to use a dial-up modem? Or manual transmission? Or how to hunt and butcher their own meat?

Point being, you can't begrude someone for being unfamilair with nearly extint IT. Outside of the Org's antiquated platform, normally human beings are never in a situation where they'd have to manually insert a hyperlink. So how are they supposed to have that skill set?

I think there's a help section, the question of "how do I link" has been asked a gazillion times, and there is LITERALLY A LINK in front of one's face. I fully expect people to highlight and link more than I expect them to create it via the HTML editor. Yes, I do.

It’s a simple copy and paste or tapping a share icon, then just paste.
It’s not outdated at all.

Yes.

i do think that.

Out of your little list of "inconveniences", how to make a fire, drive stick, and hunt for your own food are still normal skills.

Perhaps I do know how to but can't be bothered doing so, or maybe I don't and won't for the same reason. Either way, it's amusing how triggered some are by such a first-world problem.

Happy Holidays!

You wanna know what else is a normal skill that everyone visiting the Org should have...?

Copy-paste.

In fact, I'd wager 100% of computer literate people know how to copy-and-paste a URL into their brower. They know they through experience because it's an every day skill.

In contrast, probably only 1% of people know how to manually hyperlink. THey're ingnorant of this because the skill is never needed outside of this antiquated forum.
