Has TRC made you think about life and a greater purpose? Hearing this album has made think about life's greater purpose.
Has it made anyone else think about that?

no
but it did make me think of how good an album it would have been if he hadn't layered those horrid voice overs on the music. Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

No.
It made me think there is still a spark inside Prince. Whether that spark turns into a flame is yet to be seen

I bet that's lost on our US chums Mr Contact! It could be worse, at least your lot aren't in administration like LUFC!

Nope, but it made me hopeful that this is the "For You" of the next chapter of his musical output.

Not only did it make me think about life but I LOVE the ALBUM!
ONE of the things I cherish about PRINCE are his lyrics. They can be playful at times and also can make u think. "Last December", "Everywhere", "Everlasting Now" and "Family Name" have elements of wisdom and hope. FANTASTIC concept and FANTASTIC music! __________________________________________________

No but it made me see that Prince still has the funk in him. The next studio album will show us what the real deal is. I just wish that he'd allow more people to hear what he got. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It made me puke. One of the worst albums I've ever heard, from any artist. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Absolutely not. It's a great album but I've got my own beliefs & there is no way a CD is going to change them. Same goes for Lovesexy although I've heard other fans say that that album has had a positive effect on them.

I can never say enough about TRC. It is an amazing cd. The music is pure genius and his voice is enough to melt anyones heart. I do not like some of the religious lyrics, but other than that, TRC is a masterpiece. To answer the the original question, NO, it did not make me think about a greater purpose. However, it did remind me of Princes' musical genius.

It's made me think that Prince has some better music in store for us in the future. The High album should have been released rather than TRC. The songs on the High album is more true to form Prince. __________________________________________________

NO Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Yeah, Lovesexy used to make me really happy and hopeful that there was something bigger to live for than the everyday grind...I guess it was because the feeling was in the music and the lyrics were abstract enough that you could read your own bliss into 'em to a certain extent. It's definitely one of the deeper "good mood discs" in my music collection...
