How long can you survive without Prince’s music?

So-called hardcore or obsessed fans only. nutty
What’s the longest period of time you managed not to listen to any Prince record. err When? And why?
126 days, in the Andes, back in 1998-1999 llama . Couldn’t repeat the exploit nowadays, though!
More recently, when I finally pray got GirlBros bow , it stayed on heavy rotation for... five days. lol

The longest has been about 6 months, back in 1997. I don't
want to explain why.

No, I was not in jail at the time, but thank you for asking

Hmmm, not long. I rarely go a day without listening to Prince.

I went to St. John for ten days last year without a CD player (there was no electricity, it was beautiful) but ended up singing Prince songs and writing the lyrics to myself. Is that hardcore or obsessed...? hmmm...

Prince fans crack me up (me included evillol). To anyone else, I'd be deemed a completely obsessed fan of Prince. But here on the Org the rules are totally different. I'm probably barely Hardcore! perish the thought

Example:
I'm considered a fan of Stevie Wonder's; I own several CDs by him, thoroughly enjoy his music and sing along when he comes on the radio. But we don't consider you a Prince fan unless you own a stack of his CDs the size of a small child, in addition to spending copious amounts of time and money in pursuit of elusive, illegal recordings. Mmmm...illegal recorrrdingggs... drool Plus stuff like sitting through movies such as "Graffiti Bridge!" Whew. We are an elite group.

Pagey

From 92 to 94 I didn't listen to his music at all. I hated the symbol album and I just got sick of all his shit. I was all into grunge in the early 90s and P's music just didn't fit into that.

I got back into him when a friend gave me a tape with all the Gold songs on it (before it came out) and it blew me away! Shortly after I found The Jewel Box at a indie record store and after hearing that kinda re-discovered him. Since then I rarely go week with out hearing something from the little man.
