I really love it but I never hear anyone talk about it why is that ?

I loved how he performed it at the end of Forever in my life in the SOTT movie and also during the diamonds and pearls tour at the end of Thieves in the Temple.

"It"'s kind of a dilution/direct simplification of his core lyrical themes.

"It"'s detractors maybe find that level of minimalism off-putting along with the darker vibe, dunno, but it's never been a super beloved track.

This is one of his best songs, though. I was a bit of a goth kid growing up so I'm biased when he goes darker tapestry especially because he so rarely went there. Kinda ties back to that "law of attraction" thread probably, but he was damned good at them darker styles.

So Prince recorded "It" in May 1986. In September 1986 Stephen King's book "It" came out. I good portion of the book takes place in June 1958! And then later on in the part set in 1985, Prince's "New Album" is mentioned--with the dig at Prince that the person did not want the album.
