Did Prince live alone between 2006-2016 ? After his divorce in 2006, he never remarried and I don't believe he was serious about his little girlfriends that came and went after Mani.
He bulldozed the Galpin house and lived in LA for a while, when did he move into Paisley Park ?
It makes me sad to think he was pretty much alone for 10 years.

He dated Andy. They may not have been living together, but that doesn’t mean he was alone. [Edited 9/17/22 11:54am]

I was under the impression that he started living in Paisley a few years before he passed. Before that he would crash there but it wasn't his home per say.

Didn't he live in Europe for a while? Time keeps on slipping into the future...

could prince really live with anyone though?
i thought this was part of the issue (not read the mayte book though) with his marriages and his ability to maintain long term relationships, that he wasnt exactly the best or most comfortable at living with other people?

I've read Mayte's book and things were great until they lost the second pregnancy. That's when he started acting up.

I am not stating facts, I'm asking questions. Just like any fan, I hope he had someone close to him but that doesn't mean I believe it was Judith. [Edited 9/18/22 18:09pm]

He had become wary of how his music was positioned and consumed in traditional and digital music outlets. What a frustrating read that is. Those albums do have brilliant material on them that could have been played on the radio and should have garnered more sales. I'm not sure what he expected, though. Maybe that his legacy should've informed sales forever in a major way. As for the living, he lived at Paisley Park off and on forever. It was built with living quarters for a reason. His habit of buying a nearish-by house for his main squeeze to live in while he spent most of his time at the studio is something he did since before he wrote a song about that very practice - Big Tall Wall, referencing the gilded birdcage he kept Susannah in. Just my projection, but I think Prince probably felt very isolated from other folks and it wasn't a great feeling to have to be around them all the time. They dell in love with his entire mystique and that includes his makeup and the work of curating his image. Very very few folks got beyond that barrier. It's people's tendency to assign negative feelings onto the way other people live their lives, which is ultimately rooted in their own insecurity, that could ever make this seem sad. Prince wasn't a sad guy. There's a big difference between calm, cool, and collected and being sad. Prince was a contemplative guy. He was never homeless and I'd reckon you would love living at Paisley because it's a beautiful building and, for him, was full of everything you could ever need.

He was also very shy. People who grew up with him have said it several times. Mavis Staples said that he was so shy when they first met, she had to write him letters to make him comfortable and you can see it in the little documentary where he gives her directions in the studio, he's clearly struggling. He's obviously worked on his shyness over the years but I don't think you can completely get rid of that.

I'd struggle if I were him too. He was always extremely reverential of his mentors and heroes. Did he seem shy around beautiful women or his homeboys? Not so much. People expected Prince to be strutting around on the street as if it were the stage.

Andre Cymone said that Prince was so shy, he had to do the talking when they went to clubs and remember that interview in Australia (I believe during the Musicology era) where he apologized for being a bad interview and confessed when the crew had left the room that he was just shy.

Troy Beyer, Kim Berry have said he was not promiscuous as the media portrayed him to be.
He always give me the impression that he tried getting to know the women first to make sure he was comfortable with them before they could be intimate. I haven't heard one story about a random woman who hopped in bed with Prince after 5 minutes.

I haven't heard those reports. It's all hearsay.
Morris and Miko have spoken about how they were getting way more groupies than Prince.

I haven't heard one story about a random woman who hopped in bed with Prince after 5 minutes. Like every person, some dates are shorter than others. He did just fine. I also wouldn't take Kim Berry's word on much considering she didn't know him like that and he was married during her tenure (which she has exaggerated to be longer than it was). Troy is also delusional because we know his bed was on fire when she was around (1986-1993).
