hmm...here are a few "things" I did when I was a fanatic---please keep in mind I was at my teeny bopper age


*I used to call up radio stations and beg themto play anything from 1999, I said it "would be preachin' the good word"

*I used to take 30 min. in the morning to do my hair...just like wendy's in Purple Rain

*I used to write "may you live to see the dawn" in yearbooks

*I used to sit on my porch and play "party up", as a 'protest'

*I used to answer the phone by saying "what it is"

I wrote May U live 2 SEE the DAWN in year books 2 LMFAO

I used to do the same thing. Get dressed up to go out to the bar and sit in my room with all the lights down and just absorb the whole PR album and then go out in a kick ass mood.

I used to buy magazines that had even the slightest Prince mention in them, cut out the article/picture, then throw the rest of the magazine away. I still have all the articles too! God I miss the 80s!

when the car gets misty & fogged up i draw it on the window with my finger & go over it heaps so when the mist goes away the is still there.

ok, besides wearing PURPLE everything. I had this purple ski jacket (ski jacket in TX!! lol) in which I had attached over 100 Prince pins/buttons to it. The pins weighed down the jacket. Then everyone started to collect their favorite artist pins/buttons. And to think I started it all with the purple one!!!

I used to wear 13 Prince buttons on my shirt
in different patterns EVERYDAY!! I used to
buy clothes that resembled the clothes he wore
in the Purple Rain era. I used to have
one of those stereos where the speakers were
detachable, I would detach the speakers, lay
down and put one speaker on each side of my head
and blast whatever Prince I felt like blaring!
(no wonder why I cant hear very well nowadays! )

Now...
I have a huge Prince Painting that hangs over my
bed, my kids run around the house screaming "Aaowwa"!!,
I watch Purple Rain just to watch him and I am proud
of those 13 prince buttons I used to wear plus the
50+ I have added to them... and NO! I dont wear them anymore!

I love prince and always will... but I am not fanatic!
