yeah... yeah i guess. i wonder if that was ever sequenced and had a proper cd(s) or cassette(s) mixdown of the actual album created, that'd be something, though i imagine quite a lot bare and unfinished compared to later iterations of the tracks

laytonian

Moonbeam Levels is in my Top Ten songs; I don't understand why he couldn't find a place for it. To me, it would have fit nicely on ATWIAD.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

i don't respect moonbeam as part of the rave 89 lineup. it's a 1999 song. it may have been shafted onto the rave 89 project but it's not of the era, though i trust he knew what he was doing and hearing the tracklist it was on would be revelatory

Well if past is precedent, it was likely just a placeholder and he was going for a vibe. Not likely he'd have put ML on any album without rerecording.

I wonder if there’s a re-recording or remix of Moonbeam Levels from what would’ve been the Rave ‘89 era. Kind of like what he did with Bold Generation when he morphed it to New Power Generation

....this would be very interresting to know if someone could provided some info about a supposed re-working of Moonbeam levels , nowhere (Duane Tudahl books & other places) is mentionned that a such trax would have been reworked for other projects after the initial take untouched until now that everybody know very well for years !! eek

The later inclusions of the track used the edited mix that was released on "4Ever". Mixdown configurations from 1983, 1985, 1986, and proposed singles from 1986 and 87. Not sure about anything from '88 or '89 though, but if it was just remixes, chances are they don't sound much different from the original track master.

usually known as "Leaped7689"

A Rave 89 sessions release would be a fantastic release.

Wasn't there even some early artwork shared once?
