Do Me Baby - 45 rpm/cassette

Question for EU fans who ordered and bought the 45 rpm/and/or/Cassette of ''DO ME BABY'',

-

Did you all had to pay extra € 23,96 for taxes (€ 8,96) and customs (€ 15,00), besiders the shipping costs?

And did you all also received your order from the UK ?

...which i think is weird. Wasn't it supposed to come directly from the US?

It was send from Jersey Post Global, GB, 9000 Jersey, apparently somewhere in the UK.

(It's my first time I ordered something from the official Estate.)

Anyhone som eifno please. Thank you.

I did not order this, but just recently I have ordered something different from the US, rather low cost as well, and also had to pay tax and customs plus additinal handling fee. So I paid about 35 Euro extras for an 90 USD order or so... looks like there is no "floor" in value under which you don't pay taxes/customs anymore...

A friend of mine, who is an diplomat, just told me he never has to pay extra taxes or customs for anything.

I'm able to order it through him next time he just told me.

So everyone, find yourself some diplomat friend. wink

Wouldn't surprise me if these mafia customs folks just make up these amounts as they go.

I'm pretty sure the amount differs from country to country. In Denmark we get a handling fee of 160 kroner (23 dollars) on top of whatever custom amount they're charging. It applies to every country outside of the EU so it shouldn't make any difference whether it was shipped from the US og UK.

It seems odd that the estate sends stuff from the US to the UK and then ship it on from there when they could ship from within the EU. There must be more customers in the EU than in the UK...

Anyway, after Brexit I'm done ordering records and books from the UK which is a crying shame. So many fine British record shops.

Yo i never EVER got mine till this day. The estate sucks. I will never spend my money ever on anything they release again. I will always listen through fellow fans sending me the files. Screw the estate. They all friggin suck and don’t give a toss about his legacy.

I paid the fucking Brexit taxes and customs two weeks ago.

Still didn't receive anything!

One thing is for sure, I won't order anything anymore with The Estate.

Since it is never clear where it comes from.

I asked them these questions through several emails - not one answer.

Why the fuck does it need to come from the UK when I order something form the US.

i think that the postal service the estate is using....uses UK as a hub.

Nothing the estate can change, but switch postal service.

Which i hope they do....

Getting something from UK (to NL) since brexit is a hit & mostly miss exercise.

When i don't have to, i don't order from UK anymore.

ps. i had to pay 9,81 and i just got confirmation, it will finally be delivered today smile

Finaly, I too received an email it will be delivered in one week.

that's more than three weeks after i paid the way-to-high customs and taxes EU 23,96.

Never again i will order something from The Estate, as we in Beligum and Holland never know for sure if the UK hub is used again. Fucking Brexit assholes !

-

I used to order the fantastic monthly magazine Electronic Sound from the UK.

Had to give in on that one too. Waaaay too expensive now.

I did it for the truely splendid executed monthly vinyl that comes with it.
Damn fuckers.

laytonian

Part of the extra cost is shippers use "agents" to handle all the fees, which means those fees are tacked on.
An item shipped directly from the US, with the proper declared value, should never have that higher values tacked on.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.
