Belle of St Mark and Tiffan "Saw Him Standing There?"

THis is a bit odd but my brother who is not a huge Prince fan but has gone to a few Prince and Sheila concerts said he thought he heard a "Belle of St Mark" influence in Tiffany's cover of the Beatles songs.

.

.

They do this synth riff at around 3:10 (and also at the intro) which is very Prince-like. It's also 6 synth chords whereas the BOSM riff is also 6 hits but a different rythm.

A bit later she also does a spoken word part about "don't ever dance with another, nobody, nobody" which is similar to Sheila's spoken word in BOSM.

.

.

Coincidence?
