Hoping some audio recordings will also surface where he's much younger than 17. If he was playing multiple instruments as early as 10 or 11, then why not?

What strikes me positively though that he is real confident and straightforward in giving his answers to an adult interviewee, and not the shy kid I expected him to be.

Calm, happy , responsive, and not even over excited. except for the great smiles.

I'm not sure Tyka is around but why would the estate be pissed? They had no chance of knowing about it, it was never televised. It was just accidentally found, raw footage.

It's a semi interesting enough find, but the reactions here and elsewhere seem a little ott. What would be amazing if it were footage of him singing and/or playing an instrument.

Prince(r.i.p.) could have easily been a child star so much charisma & presence. The camera loved him.

Divine intervention has come to give his most loyal fans in April a gift after the tragic lost six years ago. Something we NEVER seen before a genius in the making.

That's definitly Prince!!! Wow! I have to believe theres a message in that showing up the same month he died! It's really nice seeing him as a youngster! Getting a little choked up in here!

No. That's not how the news, or copyrights, work.

WCCO may **license** the footage for use in the upcoming Netflix documentary. That's about how far it will go, financially. It's already been corrupted by people cutting and pasting it into their own stupid Facebook "groups" as if it's their own.

Tyka is pretty much nonresponsive to everything anymore.

It showed up weeks ago, it was specially scheduled and promoted as part of their Grammy coverage.

would love to have known his (anf his family's) reaction to seeing himself on TV if and when he watched it when it was aired originally.

I love that he responded to the reporter's question the same way he responded to Dick Clark 9 years later.

It wasn't aired as part of the original report; it's raw footage (everything that was shot that day) kept in the archive. That's why it was undiscovered.
