I watched all 9 hours of "Get Back" the Peter Jackson edit of the footage from the Beatles' Let It Be Sessions, and it was pretty great. It got me thinking about that Netflix series that was supposed to happen using footage from Prince's vault. That's got to still be happening, right? I know it's gone through at least 2 directors, but haven't heard anything for some time.

Anyone have any updates on the Prince Netflix series/documentary thing?

But we don't have WETA. If you've seen what Jackson is doing with footage way older than Prince's career, you would want someone like Peter Jackson to be an obsessed Prince fan.

FRom what i heard very recently......this documentary is due for release in 2022 via Netflix !

Didn't David Z. mention that he edited the audio/video of the First Avenue august 3rd 1983 show, some time ago for Netflix? (I thought this show/documentary was sold to Apple tho)

hopefully they found some of that footage that Kevin SMith shot

In the prince world this archival guy or the drummer would do that.

In the MJ world they hired a few professionals.

I play no real musical instrumnets, have no feeling for rhythm.

So please do not go there, you will fail.

Hiring pro's for seemingly mundane tasks (depending on actually what they did) is the better thing.
