I just can't comprehend someone preferring a hip-hop beat to Prince's percussive, expressive piano playing, not to mention one of his most soulful vocals.

Okay, black from Compton, but also a master's in music. A hip-hop beat isn't always going to beat excellence in other genres, I'm sure.

thats subjective...in my world it will always beat other genres...why u think Dr. Dre a Billionaire and Prince barely made $300 million ?

Suprised you never even mentioned Alicia Keys version of How Come U Dont Call Me Anymore which charted..of which Prince's original still slaps and doesnt even matter

because hers is sooooo much better with the hip hop beat it was embarassing for Princey

Funkman i hope u are joking .Prince's original version of How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore can be done better only if Prince did it.(take 2 from 1999 Deluxe ,the one you can hear him crying while singing) did you even hear what Prince did with that ssong on the 1999 tour? On the first leg of 1999 tour Prince would go into b section of the song which consisted only of acapella harmonies of Jill,Lisa,Dez and Brown Mark singing the title while Prince was improvising on top vocally ,doing his best Ray Charles like vocal runs along with monologs about how its 1 fucking dime what it takes for her to call him.And how his new girl is a nurse and she would give him a full body exeminatiom :)and how they don't have tp do it on the bed, they can do it on the floor.lol .school yourself on Prince man .u r talking nonsense all the time

'WHY cover versions Of Prince songs become bigger hits than his version?'

.

Because markets can remain irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

.

.

When you are too limited in the cognitive plain to figure these things out, why expose this on the Org?

You are not alone in there, but it is not a wise thing to do.

It is wasteful in so many ways.

Dr. Dre may not have become "the first billionaire in hip-hop" as he promised in 2014, but he is still one of the richest men in the business. Dre has a net worth of $830 million, according to Forbes. Much of his fortune comes from the sale of Beats Electronics to Apple in 2014.

With all due respect that's the same as 2freaky saying he reads shakespeare. It's assuming subjective opinion equals fact. I doubt very much you have perfect pitch. That means being able to sing Bflat or Fsharp, without a cue from say a piano note or a song you either know or don't know. Literally somebody says Eflat or Csharp, and then you sing the note unaided, perfectly. I doubt you even have relative pitch. That is easily another step above singing your fave song(s) note perfect. Which is my ability. cool

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!
