Talked to a prince fan the other day

So I was in a long line at the checkout and I had on my 3121 t shirt
The guy looks at me and says what's that shirt? And I tell him it's the name of a prince album.he asks me was that his last album? And I reply naw son

Then he tells me a story of how he is deaf in his left ear and he went to a prince concert in the 80's.He said the concert was great but the thing that stuck out the most about the concert was that he was able to hear a musical instrument in his deaf ear and that was the first and only Time it ever happened.
I thought he was pulling my leg but maybe he is telling the truth.
He then says he met princes bodyguard, not big chick, but a different guy.the bodyguard says prince does that musical effect for the deaf of partial deaf fans in the audience
Just wanted to share this

The bass.

You can always FEEL the bass.

Most songs are also recognised by the bassline.

Cool story. For me, the "fan" status of someone who has to ask what 3121 is, and whether that was his last album is ... questionable lol

Yeah me too
I guess he is a casual fan that probably stopped listening to prince after the purple rain craze ended

Clearly not a fanatic but people can still like what they've heard up to a point, then maybe lost touch. The guy went to the effort of going to a concert. My friend who introduced me to Prince drifted away around the whole slave era but I'd still call him a fan. If you think about it, he likes the same amount of music as a lot of people who post here lol

RIP sad
