Does anyone have info on the track 'Eternity'..? just heard it and i was surprised it's credited as Prince & The NPG.
It's brilliant and sound far more like a Parade / Dreams outtake... anyone else got more info on the history / proposed use of this track? cheers, [This message was edited Tue Apr 29 6:35:07 PDT 2003 by NME]

"Eternity" was done back around the "Parade" era, I think, with the Revolution.

According to Per Nilsen's D.M.S.R. 'Eternity' was recorded in December 1985 in Sunset Sound, Los Angeles, CA
It was offered to Vanessa Williams for a project George Clinton was working on with her at the time. It was eventually released by Sheena Easton on her 'No Sound But A Heart' album in 1987.

...AND by Chaka Khan in 1988 on her CK album.

And was recorded during the same sessions that saw the emergence of Dream Factory.
It was offered to Vanessa Williams for a project George Clinton was working on with her at the time. It was eventually released by Sheena Easton on her 'No Sound But A Heart' album in 1987. The song has always been solely credited to Prince on albums / single, and at the Library of Congress, where it was forst registered in 1987, in connection with the Sheena Easton version. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.
