Frank zappa's family did it like this:

During his lifetime he released 62 official albums and just like Prince, recorded tons and tons of music. His vault is simply impressive. I dare to say maybe bigger thatn Prince's.

You can see that amount of creations nicely organised in his own huge sort of vault in a documentary film about his life.

Since 1994 the Zappa Family Trust has released 57 posthumous albums.

That's by now (in 27 years) more than 2 albums or packages a year.

Just sayin'

And after 27 years of his death, there are still Zappa fans willing to pay for more posthumous releases - an artist who started in the 60's.

I don't know if it's slow. But I do find it sad that they don't release more 'downloads' or extra 'streams'.

Like rehearsals, of one off live shows, or remixes or alternate versions, etcThings that not necessary need to be on a release - only for the real hard fans, like most of us.

They could make a small extra from it.

I don't need to have it all in CD or vinyl - in fact i'm lying, i want it all...

but just saying that they could make other sort of 'packages' related to bow releases, just to keep us satisfied, seen the circumstances how they work.

but I just love the fuck out of that song. it has all of the things the NPG was supposed to be, I guess, and yet it got cut from the album.

It really seems like this is leading up to an announcement of the SDE. They must know that alot of fans are kind of expecting an announcement. However surely a release this year would be a push. If nothing is announced by Friday then I'm giving up on a release in the new future
