Special Editions (2-disc) of both Dirty Mind & Controversy! Same treatment 4 Black Album & Lovesexxy. Dirty Mind would sound and look so good with those bedsprings all up on it housed in a "Dirty Box!"

And Controversy...!!! LOTS MORE newspaper all over that one!

They are all going to be done at some point. If D&P is the next super Deluxe, Parade might be next, followed by Dirty Mind or ATWIAD (could be reversed). So with in 4 years you will most likely get a deluxe version of Dirty Mind (if enough material is available). Out of all the earlier works before 1999 album, Dirty Mind has the most critical aclaim.

I remember seeing the full-color outtake photos from the DM cover photo shoot. Some where Prince looked sweaty and angry. If the Estate felt risky (or risque?) they could use one of those alternate shots.

But I don't know how much they should be tinkering with covers. 1999/PR were done tastefully with silver, and SOTT used an alternate cover. . .. so I dunno . . .

For the next three years we maybe can expect things like

Originals II,

or another unreleased album from after 2010 we don't know off,

or maybe a live box...

(i prefer a Piano & Microphone Tour box in excellent quality tbh - well i can dream, right?)

Cause in four years time, Purple Rain will be 40 years old and probably gete a new release.

Last june was the 37th anniversary of that album release.

And then they hopefully/probably will add the ''When Doves Cry' track with bass guitar.

And hopefully an extended release of the 'Purple Rai'n movie with the deleted scenes...

something like that.

I generally don't expect much of a surprise anymore.

Let's hope i'm deadwrong.

But a PARADE or LOVESXY deluxe, or even DIRTY MIND... (and i want those more than anything),

I don't think there is enough interest from the mainstream (older) people that still know who Prince is.

In five years most young people don't even know who he was.

But let's hope for the best.

They could add the Rebels to a Dirty Mind Deluxe and market it as a "lost" pre-Revolution album. That should drum up some interest.

Controversy went platinum, but both Diamonds & Pearls and Around The World In A Day went double platinum, and I feel those will guide their choice to deluxe.

There are no deleted scenes. I got it from Apollonia a few years ago when I interviewed her. Not happening because the extra footage was destroyed.

I agree. Now that "1999" has been done, "Dirty Mind" and "Controversy" are my first choices for super deluxe treatments and I would love to see them done in the exact treatment that was given to "1999" with singles, 12 Inches, unreleased tracks a live concert CD from each era, and live concert DVD from each area. However, this time, please include also the music videos with the concert DVDs.

If that's the case, since it is a loved era, it would make the most sense to go ahead and release the little bit that they have, which wouldn't take long, to get it out of the way. It would also safisfy the curiosity of the fans and shut their mouths from wanting the era. Fans of this era are some of the oldest of the fanbase so it makes no sense releasing newer stuff first since they won't be living as long as the fans of the newer eras. It does these fans no good releasing the era after those fans are dead and gone.

HELL yeah! I've always been curious to see this footage.

I guess they did not yet even find these recordings in the vault.

Soooo cheap is this operation while it should be the tip of the whole 'Estate' thing.

It is the source of income next to royalties as far as I can understand.

Although I'd be personally most excited for SDEs of Love Symbol, Come and TGE, I think I'll be waiting until the late 2020s or early 2030s *at best* for those. Can absolutely understand Dirty Mind/Controversy/Parade being prioritised.

they need 2 release the Npg Orchestra,Maytes album,and Carmen Electras as a triple box set with outtakes.that would ne monumental!

That didn't matter for SOTT that makes me think (depending how much music of the era is in the vault) That Dirtymind might be in the mix for critical acclaim like SOTT and not the sales aspect just like SOTT. Yet the value of Prince AND the Revolution might make them do the next 2 deluxe albums with them.

Man these releases are taking 2 long 4 my taste.
