.

yes.

- they do not want to saturate the market

- they still not have a complete overview of the vault

- they still did not reach the point that they can start paying the heirs (the non-excluded ones)

- they stil did not get efficient

- they still did not recognize the priorities

- they operate on a status quo assumtpion

- they are not there for the music

- they are not experts

(until morale improves...)

peppeken

a blu ray of every live concert tour. We know he recorded them all.

Lovesexy, Gold Experience, Parade tours...no bland material he could do in his sleep

I would totally buy these separately, not just tacked on to expand on a deluxed era. The deluxed albums could just be audio as far as I care.

Well now that the estate has released a main show the next logical step would be to release an after show on blu ray. I live to see that happen, A streaming/download service with choice of era’s and shows would be ideal. NPGMC redeux..

They need a massive release of blu-ray Concert for EVERY album in just 1 package.

1978-2016 Concert Package.

Including 1 or 2 aftershows for each album.

That is my point.

On one point the fans are slowly dying off. There is about 10 years left of having huge sales with the amount of hard core fans. (Similar to Rollingstone fan base around 2000) Once the majority of the fan base is over 60 is when sales slow down. Yet, you can't flood the market because you wont maximize profits or make the profits needed to maintain the organization including future projects.

For the next three years we maybe can expect things like

Originals II,

or another unreleased album from after 2010 we don't know off,

or maybe a live box...

(i prefer a Piano & Microphone Tour box in excellent quality tbh - well i can dream, right?)

Cause in four years time, Purple Rain will be 40 years old and probably gete a new release.

Last june was the 37th anniversary of that album release.

And then they hopefully/probably will add the ''When Doves Cry' track with bass guitar.

And hopefully an extended release of the 'Purple Rai'n movie with the deleted scenes...

something like that.

I generally don't expect much of a surprise anymore.

Let's hope i'm deadwrong.

But a PARADE or LOVESXY deluxe, or even DIRTY MIND... (and i want those more than anything),

I don't think there is enough interest from the mainstream (older) people that still know who Prince is.

In five years most young people don't even know who he was.

But let's hope for the best.

-

There are no deleted scenes. I got it from Apollonia a few years ago when I interviewed her. Not happening because the extra footage was destroyed.

-

Not be be impolite or better knowing... But the only people i would trust on this kind of information is Prince or Albert Magnoli.

But I do not see why extra footage would be destroyed when every recording, even every video shoot and small movies were kept in Prince's vault way before ''Purple Rain'' happened.

We know shit. That's what i think. wink

Peace though.

I believe a fire at Warner Brother's studio sometime in the past destroyed the extra footage among other substantial classic movies. Warner Brother's movie division owned the material, Prince did not.

.

BluRay is OK, with a PCM track.

Also full video of the soundcheck at 10öre in Kopenhagen in 2011 is welcome.

Would The Rebels tracks be considered a part of Dirty Mind? According to princevault.com, they were recorded in 1979, while all of Dirty Mind and its outtakes are from 1980. They're totally the same aesthetic, though, and would be great.

The album preceding Dirty Mind finished in June 1979, and The Rebels was recorded in July 1979. "Let's Work" was originally on there but called "Let's Rock". Prince may have been reacting to Disco Demolition Night on July 12, 1979, therefore setting up his next album to be less disco-y. Therefore, while not outtakes for Dirty Mind, even chronologically it did come between Prince (1979) and Dirty Mind (1980).
