. I am a huge Prince fan, but this is something I wish Prince was different. Unfortunately he loved some cheesy plastic drum programming and keys/synths. And, when it´s not used in a masterpiece album, it has a huge risk of being dated. . Having said that, I LOVE The Gold Experience (only wished Interactive, The Ride and Days of Wild were there), but some tracks are overproduced. But it still has some real cool tracks and my fave P band ever (the NPG 95 with the Hornheadz)

Only 5 albums leave me feeling real disappointed as a prince fan. The Chocolate Invasion The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

. To be honest I think you can never got into a good album too. Maybe I listened Dirty Mind at the wrong time.

- Kamasutra... I never intend to ever listen to it again, it's just hubris gone wrong - Hit n Run Phase One... Horrible, messy production (I rescue June, an absolute gem IMHO) - Rave... What a desperate mess, trying to get a hit at all costs, firing in all directions... such poor sequencing... a few tracks I love (Tangerine, Strange But True, Silly Game), but as a whole, I can't take it. - Batman... meh. A handful of good songs, but as a whole, it was such a comedown after the string of extraordinary albums. - Welcome 2 America... what a major, major letdown.

Are there any people here who don't like Kamasutra but love instrumental music in general? The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

I never thought of Prince's B sides as 'buried'
I thought by putting them on the B side they were being displayed

I think if people edit the song and fade it out before the monologue they might look at it differently. . I'm glad to have seen that they also rehearsed/had them practice for Hello(extended version) as well as Girl and She's Always In My Hair

That's a pretty good feeling when it happens. I'm not overly jazzed about that album (as opposed to LotusFlower which I love) but it does have great songs on it.

- Absolutely. Big big fan of artists like Nils Frahm, Glass, Reich, Sakamoto, Dupree, Alva Noto, Sylvian, Beuvinck, Max Richter, Gonzalez, Johannsson, Cage, etc... - WHat Prince concerns; all Madhouse albums are stunning (to me), N.E.W.S. is good and Xpectation is fair atleast to me. Kamasutra is pretty impossible to listen to, not even understand what he tried with that, as if he completely lost it, IMHO of course. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. Old Friends 4 Sale is THE most underrated Prince album out there imo. It's become one of my absolute faves of the 90s. When the Lights Go Down 5 Women, She Spoke 2 Me, and Extraordinary are all top tunes. The title track loses some of its umph with the new lyrics, but is still great.
