Is 1 DVD per tour enough to keep us happy? ..after watching the sensational new DVD it left me more than happy as a full representation of the W2A tour. Other nights had different sets of course BUT I am cool with that. Likewise if we take 21 nights in London I would be happy with the full opening night [possibly THE best night actually if you include all the encores!]
Purple Rain , Lovesexy & SOTT ? 1 DVD is plenty enough as the sets were very fixed & rigid.
Where do you all sit? - give us multiple discs/video content downloads OR just 1 pro-shot DVD with incredible sound will do?

If they could pick one to release physically, and after that make all the other ones from the tour available for digital purchase on an official website, that'd be a dream...

think that's all our dreams !

I want them all. They could make Blu-Ray Box sets with multiple concerts from one tour. I'd pay big money for that.

Nothing keeps Prince fans happy. They're mostly a miserable sack of people. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I'd be good with one live tour dvd (in the best possible quality, blu-ray, 4k, etc.). I'd be better with one live tour dvd and 1 aftershow dvd from the period.

By new DVD, do you mean the Blu-Ray? RIP

I don´t think one DVD or bluray is enough. We still don´t have a proper SOTT concert, only the movie and the NYE show but no proper tour concert even though Roy Bennet said that there´s decent footage of of it. The concerts I am interested in are those that we haven´t seen before. If they release better, clearer versions of shows we already have, for example the Parade birthday show concert, then that´s fine and I´d buy it, too, but I´m mostly interested in good quality footage we haven´t seen before. I´d love a First Ave August 3 pre-Purple Rain show in good quality but the one we know is decent enough so I´d much rather have a bluray or DVD of the 1984 birthday show at First Ave. So that would mean at least two more Purple Rain era shows, and that would be cool even though we already have the Syracuse concert from that tour. I don´t really need several shows of this greatest hits tours but those would be a good idea for streaming if we could choose the show we want to watch. Many probably would like to watch a show they attended in good quality. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

seems like prince would rehearse a couple different sets to keep consecutive nights fresh and throw in an aftershow plus a dvd and that would cover it .. so 5cds plus a dvd for 2 shows an aftershow and a video dvd

As well as more live concert footage of each tour, wish they would also extend it to soundcheck, rehearsal, aftershow and behind the scene footage, now that would be amazing!!

Yes but I would buy them separate from the releases.

yes, no, depends on the tour. some tours had a very solid setlist that didnt deviate much, some tours had very different shows every night.

I think SOTT and Lovesexy were more set and rigid than Purple Rain. He introduced a lot of songs on the tour and they did change things up often on the PR tour. . But I would love the August 1983 Dance Benefit Show, the June 7th 1984 Birthday show a show he did with Sheila E on the Glamorous Life set, the Red White & Blue band show etc 1983 @ the Met Center in Bloomington(MINNI) 1999 tour, Theatre Du Verdure France Oct 17, 1985 . These are sets that need to be released along with an album tour concert from at least that 1978-1989 period. A lot of important shows that should be released. . but after that at least 1 concert per album release to start off at least

Problem is they don't ask us

I mean why only one considering he had them all taped? I mean even a tour like purple rain tour which was very structured had several surprises on different dates (especially the Worcester show).

I´ve just looked it up on Princevault, there are two Worcester dates but there is no setlist. Could you please name some examples? " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

The 28th March Worcester date included 4 The Tears In Your Eyes, When You Were Mine, Head, Still Waiting and I Wanna Be Your Lover, as well as B.B King's I Got Some Help I Don't Need.

Wow, that´s interesting. I´d love to hear that, especially because I love his August 3, 1983 rendition of When You Were Mine, so I guess since this is the same band and same era, it might sound similarly strong and energetic. Head and For the Tears in Your Eyes during the Purple Rain era sounds intriguing, too. Do you know if this one is circulating? And thanks for the info. Sure, I'd be okay with this.

Seeing as I haven't watched one single DVD that has been released in recent years, I'd be ok with even less every year Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

It's out there on bootlegs. Not great quality, but still a soundboard. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

To be fair, I think ALL the Montreux sets are all out there, pro shot in glorious quality. They are glorius !

I think a good representation of each stage show is what we can probably expect, and I'm happy with that! The new bluray is an awesome representation of the era from 2007 London to 2011. I'm happy to revisit it but I'm not really bothered that it doesn't have the exact setlist from the last time I seen him live. It triggers lots of memories and I would love a representation from 88,90,93 and 95. I'll just enjoy whatever comes out 😎✌🎹

Not even close, there is too much diversity from show to show for a single release to be justified. Ultimately though I am grateful for whatever we get. We all want the floodgates to open, perhaps someday it will, but certainly not anytime soon. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013
