New World slowed down to 0.75 on YouTube

Okay I'm sure much has been talked bout slowed
Down vocals especially on Camille material
But this came to me from the ether
And I honestly think it funks harder.
Just try it I honestly prefer it slowed down
It rocks way harder like a 3rd eyegirl version
I'm hoping this is taken seriously
it's a hidden gem.
So new world slowed to 0.75 on YouTube
Please tell me what you think

I think you need fresh air.

It also doesn't show up on YouTube.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I'm aware of the song, bubba.

All this slowed down stuff is unimpressive, IMO.

However, we were recently talking about "Temptation" being too slow and gritty and grindy. Someone sped it up a bit, pitch corrected it, and it's a bop. I replaced it in iTunes, so now that's the version I listen to. I also cut off the God-talk stuff at the end. It's dumb.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

meh, just sounds slower that's all, it would be too slow and boring.

I always felt this song was Prince trying to imitate an MJ song! Although I like the idea and intention of the song it somehow misses the spot...

I used to do this back in the days of Winamp with a plugin to slow down tracks. The Romance 1600 LP was stoned

I read somewhere Prince brought in external producers to help with the house/dance songs on Emancipation. They’re a bit too ‘clean’ for my tastes - something like Pheremone or even 51hours had a bit more grit to them.

While y'all are at it, try to listen to ATWIAD entirely backwards: it makes for a psychedelic masterpiece, possibly the best psychedelic album of all times!

.

There is also a technique which consists in reducing the volume to zero, which basically transforms the music into silence. It's a great way to turn even the most dynamic or agressive music into meditation music.

.

There's also a technical trick which consists in renaming a file (metadata included). For example you take your favorite Bob Dylan song, and you rename it "Jughead" by Prince. Then you insert it in your D&P playlist, and suddenly Jughead becomes your favorite song.

.

The best way to improve Prince's music, however, is to rerecord it yourself from scratch: then, every note has been chosen by you, and you'll be absolutely certain that the song is exactly how you want it (if you can't arrange or play music yourself, hire a professional band and instruct them to play what you want the way you want it).

In the same vein, if you amplify the 1st segue on "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" by 20 dB, it gives that track a whole new dimension.
