Joe Perry on Prince https://ultimateclassicro...joe-perry/ It's not really anything special, but I thought I'd share it anyway. Always nice to hear other rockers talk about hoe great our guy was, right? If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

That must have been some real good shit Joe was on in ‘84 if he watched the entire Purple Rain show and didn’t realise Prince ‘was an actual guitarist’ until ten years later.

Perry said (in a 1985 or 86 guitar magazine interview) that he saw P play a private gig and he dug his clean funky guitar playing...From what I've read, Steven Tyler was a big fan of P too. He said P played in Boston once and he made sure he went backstage and spoke with him. He said security removed everyone out of the room and they spoke for about an hour and a half (after a show).

Steven Tyler talked about how The Black Album was his favorite and he jogged to it every morning in a little interview clip back in 1989 or so. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid
