When did this become Cliff Richard.org? If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

- Well, tbh, it's the first time i hear it. Never heard this Jill song before. Nice, thank you ! Would've been a perfect fit for Apollonia or Vanity even. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. To the original question: The outro is lovely. But I never really want to hear the 2 minutes that preceded it ever again. [Edited 6/30/21 4:47am]

- Well, to me, those two minutes that procede it are just great production of a silly melody. I love the weird drum sizzle and the squeeling Lovesexy guitar throuhgout the song. ANd one can't deny the always fantastic sounding Jill Jones. Her voice has so much character (imho). - And the second part is indeed lovely, fantastic even. But it doesn't fit the song all that properly (since she has no vocal part in it), so it feels left out. I agree. Someone here made a thread somewhere about ''what part of a song you wish Prince used for a complete song'', and this is one. - Shame she never got to release a second album. Prince was sometimes such a big... nevermind. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. databank said: Is that a new leak or a song I forgot forgot from an old bootleg?? The latter. It's on Blast From the Past # 4. I had forgotten about it too, which is why I thought about Cliff Richard first and decided to make a little joke about that. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

how could you forget about such a perfect display of songwriting?

Because Prince wrote so many songs that there will be songs that you overlook. Unless maybe when you never listen to anything else. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

I gave it a listen and while it is of course nowhere near one of the best songs ever written, it is a perfect example of trashy 80s pop. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

Crazy. I have it indeed and have zero recollection of ever hearing it. It's retro for 1985, much in the vein of P's earlier rockabilly stuff, but nice to (re?)discover EDIT: Oh, that ending!! It's fun, like Prince doing 'This Year's Model' era Elvis Costello. The ending is sublime, but seems musically and thematically at odds with the rest of the song. Hundalasiliah!

That's what I was thinking, it's almost as if the ending was lifted from another song and glued on this one. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

The more I read about their relationship in Duane's book, the more I'm convinced he was giving her crap songs to mess with her.

You wouldn't say that Mia Bocca or All Day All Night are crap songs now, would ya? If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

I have a running joke beef with a friend about her. Some of the songs are fun, but i just don't really like her singing. Always sounds she's trying too hard.
This song, uh, nope! | |

Honestly he was not putting out his best Paisley releases at that time. The one off tunes were getting his best. Other than Flesh and Blood I couldnt hear hit written on any of those 2nd boots at all Straight Jacket Funk Affair

next time they do one of their awful "originals" releases it should just be 15 tracks of Living Doll [Edited 7/11/21 5:47am]

Well, I've been listening to Parade era tracks while reading Duane Tudahl's Parade Era Sessions book and when I listened to Living Doll i thought Susan Rogers was right - not every song was great.
