I am so incredibly angry - not oly at this situation [P's legacy is now in the hands of suits!] but also so angry at Prince for all the obvious reasons.

So one of Primary Wave's ventures was to do a hologram tour of Whitney Houston's music!!!!!! We all know what Prince thought of hologram's of musicians so will PW do one of Prince? This is not looking good!

I'm not sure that this is a terrible thing. His heirs aren't equipped to handle his estate and all that entails. Can't imagine he didn't know this could and probably would happen. Stevie Nicks sold out to Primary Wave so it makes me wonder if it's such a bad idea. Are fans of other artists who sold to PW unhappy with what has gone on with the artist's legacy? I'm clueless about the record industry so have no idea.

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

Didn't he always have suits/skirts in his business? Prince focused on creating ideas and music, and when the right suits/skirts implemented his business he was most successful. I am going to remain optimistic. thumbs up!

PW is doing a Whitney hologram show in Vegas, from what has been reported in 2018 when Justin Timberlake tried to do a Hologram during his Superbowl performace the older heirs shut it down the night before it was supposed to occur and they had to scramble to project footage instead. no no no!

Does anyone know who Amelia Wodehouse is? I tried to read her claim, but man, that was rough. I saw that there is a motion to dismiss and she has a Chanhansen address.

Just curious.

Lastly, does anyone have the 5-20-21 Periodic Accounting file? When I try to access it, I get a 404 error message.

"It goes on to relate that Van Exel—working through yet another law firm not named in the complaint—allegedly wrangled an Aug. 27, 2019, deal to sell Jackson’s entire share of Prince’s estate. Either that same day, or the next, Alfred Jackson died of what were described publicly as natural causes. eek disbelief

Just a month earlier, Bruntjen alleges, Van Exel directed an attorney to draft a new will naming himself sole beneficiary of Alfred Jackson’s estate. On Nov. 13, 2019, Van Exel’s new lawyers filed that new will."

http://legalnews.com/detroit/1495160

Something seems very very fishy with that red bolded part! Did the police, investigators, etc. look into this?

Yes, they did look into that. Alfreds house was here in Kansas City.

Here's a link, type in the name and you can see the cases

Case.net: Name Search, Ju...x (mo.gov)

Well PW doesn't have controlling interest.

I did find this eye opening..Wonder if Tyka gave them 100% of the control, but only gave them 90% of her share?

Though the court filing does not break down percentages, Primary Wave now has ownership of 42% of the estate, but controls 50%, according to the Wall Street Journal, which broke the news Friday (July 30). Three other Prince half siblings — Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson and John Nelson — control almost all of the remaining half, with advisers Charles Spicer and L. Londell McMillan holding small portions, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Shame on the younger SELL OUTS! And now we see why P didn't F' wit dem. slam

"The long-standing monopoly of white ownership of black music should B abolished. We need 2 get back 2 localized music distribution on all levels. In a world fast headed towards globalization we need 2 free the art from the gatekeepers that all C black culture as monochromatic." ~Prince Welcome2America

From the looks of it the only diversity Primary Wave has is the catalogs of black artists which they own. grenade

Personally, I think not having a will was Prince's last F--- You to his family. He didn't have it very easy growing up. I don't think that he really ever had close ties to any of them besides Tyka while growing up and then that was on and off later in their lives. His parents were gone so he didn't have to worry about entangling them in all of this. When you have siblings that are either older than you by quite a few years or half-siblings that live in different households it tends to put an emotional distance between your relationships with them (I'm speaking from my own experiences and may be projecting).

My 2 cents & this is what i think deeply.....there is no will because Prince was sure in his mind even he was human with high & low....he was sure & even more than this that the notion of dying was a concept for a very old man & not for him at this stage of his life in 2016 !!
