I have veiny hands, too - just like my mom. The skin on the backs of my hands is very thin and very pale. The veins just show through. Nothing I can do about it.

No kidding. Also, when a person gets older, skin gets thinner, especiallyu on the hands and when you exert more force, activity, etc. the veins tend to "pop out" more. Take it from me, the veins in my hands show a lot more than when I was younger.
