Maybe the missprint will become rare if they do a second pressing. Either way, did no one even bother to proof read or I dunno... Listen to the album and think "gregg boyer on trombone? John on drums? There isn't even any drums or trombone on this song!"

Massive error in the credits for Other Side Of The Pillow. They've used the credits from the ONA box for that one. John, Rhonda, Renato etc.. What a cock up!

Think we have different definitions of the word massive.

Managed to get my order in for this.... online at the end of the day, my nearest store still had a copy left and I snatched it up, along with a couple of Steely Dans.... without having to go to the store and line up like a loony.... haha...

Happy man over here. Will be going to the store to pick up my copy in a few days' time.

It's very glaring as aside from Fascination it's p much all Prince. Then you've got this random track with keys and horns and drums listed.

I admit, the word massive was way over the top haha

Check out the wrong lyrics printed for "Comeback".

Instead of "Walking up the stairs j
ust the afternoon," it reads, "Chelsea afternoon."

Did they pull them off one of those moronic lyric sites?

BTW, it's "yesterday afternoon."

gotta be honest, listened to this album for the first time in a while and forgot how many killer tunes are on it, regretting skipping out on this now. i'll pick it up when it floods discogs for 15 bucks a pop cause they made 13k like the one lp 1999 from a few years back

I've always liked this album - a few clunkers, but overall a good solid album, bearing in mind it's 'acoustic'. I hope it gets a new appreciation now it's released as a stand alone album.

It's most definitely "just the afternoon." Prince wrote it that way, you can clearly hear it, and multiple lyric pages concur. A quick search will also confirm but if your ears tell you "yesterday" then that's cool too. biggrin

"...just -this- afternoon..." makes more sense.

But, who knows what kind of grammar was used or heard or spread.

.

Anyways, for me, it's the best song on the album.

Brings me to misty-eyed everytime for various reasons.

Picked it up yesterday at the local wrecka stow's RSD event for $27. Haven't opened it yet, waiting till I have the time to sit down and enjoy it. Still have a couple copies of the original CD but thrilled to finally get this one on vinyl... one of my favorites from the era.

Now if we could just get The War on vinyl (and a CD reissue too please!).

Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...

The lyric is in fact, "Chelsea afternoon," which was likely inspired by the Joni Mitchell track, "Chelsea Morning."

For anyone wondering about RSD releases and If they could/will be available later on through a normal release, its usually in the wording on the WEB site for RSD if it says "Record Store day First release" which in Prince's case it does, this means it will be released down the line by his label or whomever, this year Tom Petty has one that came out and they are already announcing it will be getting a cd/digital release and probably vinyl in the fall. If the Label of the release says "Record Store Day Exclusive" it is supposed to NOT be released or at least for some time by the artist, I forget the time line for it and I think also they have the "Vinyl" exclusive I think this happened a few years back with the Foo FIghters and RSD having an exlusive vinyl and then a year later it was available Digitial but never on vinyl again.

...and what's going to be funny is when all these people who were critical of them being printed as "moronically wrong lyrics" apologize for they themselves being moronically wrong. 😂😂 Wait, I have a feeling it'll be cold in HELL before that happens...😒

all in the rush to make a quick buck, not to mention the versions that dont even have the credits printed on the back, unbelievable amount of disrepect shown by the lack of care and attention to detail

I'm sorry but it's not. Mayte confirms it was "just the afternoon." She was there when he wrote the song. You can hear it clearly in the song. Show me one single source where it says, "Chelsea afternoon."

I never said it was "moronically wrong" and if I'm proven to be wrong I will be the first to admit it. BUT even Mayte confirms the lyrics are "just the afternoon." She was there when he wrote the song. You can hear it clearly in the song. Show me one single source where it says, "Chelsea afternoon."

You can think what you want but it’s “Chelsea.” The lyric sheet is correct.
