Adi yeshaya claims to reveal unreleased prince track with female lead Israeli born string arranger adi yeshaya worked with prince as a replacement for clare fischer, after fischer's death.
In a new interview to israeli KAN radio, in hebrew, he speaks about how he arranged a couple of songs for art official age. He tells his arrangement for way back home was scrapped from the track but he was surprised to find it in it's full glory in affirmation#3. Prince told him his work will be spotlighted but he didnt realise how. Apparently p was present for the recordings for this track. As we know P was never present for string arrangement recordings with CF. Adi says P was excited to witness the full string orchestra and started to order works from him regularily. He claims LOTS of tracks were sent to him, only a few were released . One of those yet unreleased tracks is played in the program. He does not know the name of the female lead and i am also unsure who that is. The track is pretty cool and in the latter parts prince's guitar is prominent as well as a lovesexy style pretty long string heavy instrumental coda. The interview and songs are here: https://www.kan.org.il/Ra...pid=213636 Adi starts talking about prince at the 32:00 mark approx They play affirmation#3 Then they play a pretty sweet and moving instrumental called "moment of psilence" adi composed soon after p's passing, as a tribute, with his musicians. Here's a link take a listen it's great: https://youtube.com/watch...e=youtu.be Then they discuss what adi claims is an unreleased song that starts playing round the 51:35 mark They say the track is unmixed. Im not sure but it seems adi has permission to play it, but doesn't know alot about it. Can any of you tell who is the singer? I don't think i've heard this track before, so i think it's a nice find. (Maybe i missed it though, on one of the protege's albums) EDIT: MusicFan20TEN called it first in the comments - it's definitely 2015's PANGAEA full version with Eryn Allen Kane on vocals Also: to clarify, the beautiful instrumental after pnagaea at the very end is not related to the rest of the program, it's called "relationships", by cory wong and Jon batiste [Edited 5/31/21 1:24am] [Edited 5/31/21 1:25am] [Edited 5/31/21 8:47am] [Edited 5/31/21 8:47am] [Edited 5/31/21 13:11pm]

thanks heaps for posting this I cant place who it is (I don`t think it is Judith Hill), maybe Eryn Allen Kayne or Ashley Jayy? It certainly has that "new Minneapolis sound" where guitar parts are transposed to strings... [Edited 5/31/21 3:05am]

There's basically 2 songs played at the end. Both stunning and something the Estate should highly consider releasing as an album (along with other similar songs he was working on at the time) - beautiful otherwordly, thought provoking music.

It seems the beautiful instrumental at the very end is not related to the rest of the program. The programs host replied to my query, its called relationships, by cory wong and Jon batiste

I'm listening to the unreleased song now, and while I can't pick out the singer like you've asked, am I correct in hearing her singing "pangea" in the chorus?? In which case, could this be the unmixed but full version of Pangaea from BFTP 6.0 - or am I clutching at straws here?? eye dont think U heard me . . .

Looks like a very good guess as StringGenius aka adi yeshaya is listed in princevault as a contributor and the description of the song sounds spot on

Thank you so much! I love Rumeta and would love to know if the two songs were considered for the same project (Rumeta being for the second 3EG album according to PrinceVault) or if Prince was working on another project with Pangea on, and having a female vocalist for it. With the amount of different projects he was rumoured to be working on around the time (Black Is The New Black, 3EG second album, Phase 3) the possibilities are endless!
Just to clarify: I know Pangea is labelled as an AOA outtake, but it could have carried over to a different project. And I've seen conflicting information regarding Phase 3 and BITNB being the same or two different projects, so my headcanon is they're two different ones for now eye dont think U heard me . . .

Very Interesting. Does anyone know the background or status of the 3rd Eye full orchestral sessions or Prince's participation in full orchestral sessions that took place during For You (per his first Mgr)?

- Well well. Great track. Going to listen to it a couple of times. Amazing how the strings are arranged with the guitar part. Pure Prince. - And thank you for that great story. By the way, the tribute song from Adi Yeshaya is absolutely wonderful ! - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

"Pangaea" almost sounds like the opening number in an animated feature. And there is a moment that really echoes the melody of "Beginning Endlessly" at 53:06 [Edited 5/31/21 10:54am] My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

That vocal sounds like the sister from Chicago? I think she was singing on the Baltimore song....

Yep, it’s Eryn Allen Kane. [Edited 5/31/21 20:08pm]

Pangea is fantastic, loved the new, heavily orchestrated sound he was going for. The instrumetal version of this knocking around is brilliant too. Ahhh what might have been.

He definitely talked intensely about the new approach to string arrangements. Cool to get a better sense what he was up to with that.

Wow amazing thank you for posting

Worth noting that this version has no horns in the mix, so there must be another subsequent rough mix with the horns as yet uncirculating

I love it. Thanks for sharing. I thought Eryn's work on Baltimore was stunning, and I'm glad they have more collaborations in the can. Inspired Prince is the best Prince. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

I agree that it's nothing special, but it's hardly overproduced. It's just his usual shit from that time with strings added. There's no special production that I can hear.
