LG wouldn't answer the phone when the PD was calling.

LG wouldn't answer the door when the PD was knocking.

I believe he tried driving right past them in his van (if memory serves me correctly) and then they either stopped him or he turned around.

Then I think he may have invited the cops in his house, and finally answered some questions, not that his answers told us anything at all.

I think he's shady too.

What I read is that the police finally were able to "catch" him and asked if he was Larry Graham, he died that he was Larry Graham.

Know about LG's personal issues, I think Prince helped him more than he helped Prince. He and his wife lived for free in Prince's guest house for years. When Prince died, LG lost his meal ticket.

Warning: If you check out the video labeled Paisley Park Lobby (under the same guy who posted these phone conversations) - there is about a second or two where it shows Prince lying dead in front of the elevator. I can't believe this is real and if it is not, why would it still be on youtube?

[Edited 5/26/21 18:57pm]

Because it was taken from the official evidence files which show his body on the little rug in front of the elevator.

Wasn't there a story that Prince kinda stopped working with Larry Graham because LG was just sorta lazy, and didn't like/want to work as hard as Prince did? So Prince just kept on moving, and Larry down shifted? Because LG was all around for a few short years, but once The Rainbow Children was out, Larry wasn't in the band anymore, in a video (AFAIR). Rave Un2 The Year 2000 was sorta the last time we saw him in full effect. Which is odd since TRC was Prince's big religious move. I mean, I suppose LG was somewhere during that time. But all that NewPowerPak business was long over.

I don't dispute that, nor did I imply they never saw each other again. But on a regular basis, with Larry in the band long term.. nope.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I met Larry once and he was a super nice guy. I just don't get why religious people have to talk about it. Keep that shit to yourselves. I mean, you don't see non-religious people going around talking about how lucky they are that they don't have to fall back on something that is not real in order to validate their own existence. Did anyone watch the video yet with Prince's dead body in it? It has to be a joke right?

It isn't. It's a video recording by police. It was in the same police file as Larry's interview and needs to be reported to YouTube to be removed. * [Edited 5/27/21 7:29am]

jeez i wish i had not seen that

I get the impression he's like others who knew there was a problem but also knew prince was stubborn and wasn't much he could do to help

He was not a friend.he was using Prince like majority of people used Prince.

yes, defintely I agree, he wasn't a friend, he was a user. Prince paid everything for him, bought him a house and worshiped his talent.... so sad. And there are a lot more talented bass players in my opinion than LG. There was a television appearance back in the 90ies, where Larry was on the show with his wife, it made my toenails curl, so horrible, both of them.... and all of his so called fake friends as well, there was nothing wrong with him, they say. If you look at Princes pictures as from 2015 onwards, he looked horrible, and not well at all. Especially in the end. All these fake liars, it makes me so upset, how can they just keep on doing, what they do, and laugh about our dear Prince, like that horrible LG. Its just horrible. Horrible!

RODSERLING

LG was on numerous european festival gigs in Europe in 2010.
After that, Prince distanced himself from him, as with Maceo Parker after 2011.

I had the chance to see LG on rehearsals in 2016, he s z great and humble musician IMHO. Prince NEVER used LG skills on tour or in studio. LG was just a random bassist for Prince.
He never really did something with Maceo too.
So why did they come on tour or in studio with Prince, besides for their names?

How come he didn't use him? Maybe we don't know too what extent Prince used Larry in studio

I share your appreciation of Larry Graham, but Prince did produce and release Larry's 1998 album GCS2000 on NPG Records and featured Larry vocally on his NewPower Soul, Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic and The Slaughterhouse albums. Larry was the full-time bassist in Prince's band for the Rave era in '99 and appears as such in all live performances and TV spots during that year, including the released DVD. Larry was also one of the opening acts on the NewPower Soul tour and was featured in nearly every aftershow during that tour, so I'd argue Larry's skills were definitely used. In fact, many fans here were complaining Larry was being over-used, particularly between 1998-2000.

Being reluctant to speak to cops isn't "shady" even if you're innocent. It's smart.

Police aren't your friends and opening your mouth without an attorney present can get you in a boat load of trouble pretty quick.
