Yes! When I attended Prince's(r.i.p.) Glam Slam club weekly. I witnessed Prince(r.i.p.) sveral times going into his "Endorphin Machine" stage set up to be his OWN soundman!. It was a sight to see.

At long last Prince's The Gold Experience is released!

i have read all the posts and surprised so many saw it, and the stories, this tour was more about the stage of the endorpine machine set, it was more about the sound, and the time i went the sound was funky keyboards and Princes lead screaming guitar. There wasnt much dancing.

Also if you google 'endorpine machine' in google you get nothing of the set, so Choclate box i wonder where you got the pic.

Actually Mayte did a LOT of dancing & stage diving. Prince(r.i.p.) stage dived for the first time on that Endorphin Machine stage set. Which was the debut of The Gold Xperience & "Come" album tracks.

"So Choclate box i wonder where you got the pic."?

"That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when eye was doing the Purple Rain tour eye had a lot of people who eye knew eye'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream."prince

I saw it at Wembley Arena in 95. I think he abandoned all but the middle section shortly after. I remember him using the phallic elevator during the show, so it was at least fully operational for the London leg of the tour.

Saw it at Wembley '95 as well - my first Prince gig! And he wasn't even Prince any more, haha...

I thought the show was fantastic!!! My friends, who I dragged along for my birthday, just wanted to hear Purple Rain. More fool them.

I remember this set well, based on the female reproductive organs.

female organs to Prince is actually just makeup and the photo looks like a compact, lipstick and i don't know what the other one is the mirror maybe

Was it really a machine? Makes me think of a Gaudi design. House of bones? I cant remember. It was cool, but idk how it related to the gold album. I'd have preferred something more opulent and ott, all gold, maybe a golden castle. Or a big gold mountain. [Edited 5/10/21 10:13am]

It represented the female genitals iirc.

Or the part that produces endorphines.

The early 'prototype' of the Endorphinmachine' stage set was in The Undertaker film, the final gold version was debut at Paisley Park on 26th May 1994 and the centre part was later used during his performances at the Glam Slam Clubs in 1994. It was then used at Paisley Park in 1995 after the tour (as seen in scenes from the Love 4 One Another special)

I rememeber reading in 1996 that parts of the stage were seen out back of Paisley Park waiting to be disposed of. Reminds me of David Bowie burning his 1987 Glass Spider tour set in a field after all the hassle it caused him.

This was such a weird setup. The little treadmill thing that slid Prince in/out of the curtained area, and the fact that Prince was trying to mix house sound from the stage (!!!). On the plus side, we got free NPG t-shirts and sampler experience cassettes, which was nice.

That label is reserved for the die hards who have all 6 of Prince's albums.

Hmm, I've got Purple Rain, 1999 and Sign o' The Times. Looks like I better track down the other 3 any help with titles?

RIP sad

Couldn't find that one, only something called Girl 6 but I'm not sure if that's counted because it seems to be just a compilation of songs for a movie soundtrack.
