Yes! When I attended Prince's(r.i.p.) Glam Slam club weekly. I witnessed Prince(r.i.p.) sveral times going into his "Endorphin Machine" stage set up to be his OWN soundman!. It was a sight to see.

Well i saw the main part at the arena show , i think he toured with a smaller set

I saw it at Wembley Arena in 95. I think he abandoned all but the middle section shortly after. I remember him using the phallic elevator during the show, so it was at least fully operational for the London leg of the tour.

Yeah by the time the tour made it to Dublin (Point Depot), it was missing half the set.

Saw it at Wembley '95 as well - my first Prince gig! And he wasn't even Prince any more, haha...
I thought the show was fantastic!!! My friends, who I dragged along for my birthday, just wanted to hear Purple Rain. More fool them.
I remember this set well, based on the female reproductive organs.

Saw him perform in it at Glam Slam MPLS in 1994. My first O(-> concert. Still remember Mayte's crazy energy and general out-of-this-world hotness. I believe the show I attended was the first time he ever performed Gold. He also had them debut P Control over the stereo system at one point during the show. Nona Gaye came out to perform Love Sign. Great era. No Candy 4 Me

- Oh yes. Was listening the other day to a Alan Leeds with Questlove podcast where they menitoned this. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

Yes, I saw this show, the stuff with the slave on his face and name change really spoilt what chances this album had, of being a well diserved massive hit. I think this album was his most complete for years, I can listen to it from begining to end. The band was great, the one thing I remember from the show was I think that, he had his sound tech stuff in the endorphine machine, and he seemed to disappear for a while every now and then to change the sound settings, could be wrong mind. I think due to, not great ticket sales, where tickets hadn't sold, areas were curtained off, Birmingham NEC, this was. Prior to this, he'd signed a massive contract with Warners, but wouldn't play the 2 year album, promotion tour game. Ultimately, I wish prince had put less music out, a little bit of something is better than a whole lot of nothing. Little Richard said this of Prince and his output.

I saw the set stuffed onto the stage at a club called Palladium in NYC. Charity show. Don't remember exactly how much of it was there. Just remember being 15 feet from stage & plotzing. I'm so tall I bent my knees, felt bad for little woman behind me. Mayte tossed magazines to the crowd. One was heading right for me when an ass behind me grabbed my face & screwed up my glasses. But I didn't care too much. I loved when he asked "What's my name?" and no one said anything. He smiled. Appearances by Reid & Kravitz. Mary Don't You Weep. Couldn't put my arms down, no room. Uncontrollable crowd sway. Days of Wild indeed.

Was it really a machine?
Makes me think of a Gaudi design. House of bones? I cant remember. It was cool, but idk how it related to the gold album. I'd have preferred something more opulent and ott, all gold, maybe a golden castle. Or a big gold mountain. [Edited 5/10/21 10:13am]

The first time I saw it was at Paisley Park on May 26, 1994. I had been down at Glam Slam that night and there was an after party in the Erotic City room. They had a scavenger hunt and you got a ticket after you found everything that said "Worth Its Weight In Gold". The ticket was for a show at Paisley Park that night. The Endorphinmachine was set up in all its glory in the soundstage.

It was a dream come true. At any given night he would pop up there just to watch & observe or perform. Then to see a then unknown Carmen Electra dancing or the self possessed Nona Gaye. While sometimes having Mayte on his arm. How Prince(r.i.p.) juggled them all is beyond me..

Are we talking about the picture of Prince in a yellow suit with the yellow guitar and he has a erection? That "endorphin machine"?

i have read all the posts and surprised so many saw it, and the stories, this tour was more about the stage of the endorpine machine set, it was more about the sound, and the time i went the sound was funky keyboards and Princes lead screaming guitar. There wasnt much dancing.
Also if you google 'endorpine machine' in google you get nothing of the set, so Choclate box i wonder where you got the pic. Prince 2010 Good Luck for Future & Tour

I seem to recall there was also a long electric walkway connected to the opening of the centrepiece that conveyed Prince to the front of the stage.

A couple weeks later I was back out there and was still on crutches and had bent over to grab my drink and split my pants all through the ass. Luckily I had a long coat on, so it covered that up. So you squirted off there?
