thats completely irrelevant...and my reply is about Marshall Mathers not Prince...some artists know how to creatively walk the fine line between profanity and art...while some just are just profane and disgusting..to my knowledge, Prince never picked his nose and wiped it on the camera...and yes Dirty Mind is ONE OF my favorite albums...an album Prince made in his own home while playing virtually all the instruments and writing and composing virtually all the lyrics and music...something Marshall Mathers could NEVER do...so to try compare the two, is completely asinine.

Okay. Valid question there!

RJ, you're upset about Marshall's boogers, but not Prince's sister raping and human trafficking his ass?

Does anyone know why he came to be at Paisley Park, and what happened to the No Camera's policy?

Interesting, seeing as Em was a nobody on the rap scene at the time, I'm curious about how and why he would visit PP in 92 and be able to walk around the halls and act out. Outside of the mentions of Prince in his lyrics, did Marshall ever present himself as a fan? The assumption on my end, maybe as a Detroiter, he was paying some respect to the Minneapolis cousin.

No you're not. None of us know that. If an artist is there, they can do what they wish within reason especially record a home movie.

No one was shoving a camera in Prince's face. In fact, we know that for sure because on June 24, he was at Earl's Court finishing up a run of shows on the Diamond and Pearls Tour. On June 26, was in Manchester, and on the 28th, he was in Glasglow, Scotland.

So let's not create a fantasy for the sake of it. There's plenty of reality to deal with here.

NEW LEAK : Carmen Electra and Eminem duet from 1992 recorded at Paisley Park....

Just messing of course, but that would be pretty cool.

I think Carmen was kicking around Paisley Park around that time.

What if Eminem replaced Tony M in the NPG? food for thought.

Ironic how plenty posters at this site had a major problem with Prince saying the word "fag" on "Blanche", but almost everyone in the white community gives Marshall Mathers a pass for his several openly anti LGBTQ lyrics and statements over his career...not to mention his documented disrespect of black women in past lyrics calling them "dumb chicks" and referring to black culture as "nigger shit"...Prince wouldve never worked with that culture stealing closet racist...Mathers was exposed by Source Magazine YEARS ago, when they unearthed his racist ass lyrics on songs he did before he became "famous"...just like Mark Wahlberg, his racist past came back to haunt him. Most educated and aware people of African descent who have pride and love for our culture, have no use for that clown. and he's also always been highly overrated as a rapper, because of his skin color.

I totally agree that eminem is racist and anti LGBTQ, he's also mysoginistic, which is why I don't listen to his music. But comlaining about his foul language in the video, while stating you're favorite album is dirty mind, is a bit hypocritical. I would never give em a pass for the shit he constantly pulls on his records, and I absolutely want to see him held accountable for it, but I doubt it's ever gonna happen. I mean, this dude wrote a song about murdering his (then) wife, there's no excuse for that. Poor woman tried to kill herself after it and he still has a career.

i was more disgusted by the nose picking than the language...regardless, i just despise the boy, so anything he does wrong, is gonna be amplified in that regard...and i still take issue with ANY comparison of him to Prince, in any way.

eminem was always a little immature punk. He's almost 50 now and still behaves like a little brat, just look how he reacted when tyler the creator simply said he didn't like his album. But who compared him to prince? I've never seen anyone do that.

Did you miss the controversy that greeted him when he first came out or were you just covering your ears?

Also, without defending anything he said, aren't people allowed to change, to grow, to learn etc? If he says those things recently that would be a diff story.

Culture stealing though? Lol. Is everyone who is a non black rapper a culture stealer?

Well, eminem is still homophobic. and he's still a women hater, just last year they revealed what he said about chris brown beating up rihanna, and it wasn't in her favor, I can tell you that much. To me it seems like eminem was allowed to hide behind his alter ego whenever people critized him for his extreme lyrics. It could work if it wasn't a recurring theme in his songs. To me he's being a dickhead most of the times. Can't really listen to his songs because, if there's no women hate in it, you can bet there's gonna be a dose of homophobia, if there's no homophobia, you can bet your ass there's gonna be women hate.

Imagine tupac writing a song about murdering his ex, he wouldn't have had much of a career left after that.

I also don't like how he can't take criticism from others without making a diss track, for a guy who built a career on making fun of others, he's pretty sensitive when someone talks smack about him.

Let's be real. Eminem was allowed to be homophobic because the hip hop industry is homophobic. Eminem also has rich friends who knew they could be richer if they stuck by him and they didn't give a fuck if he presented as as a homophobic rapper

Eminem is a rapper

All the stuff dr dre has said and done, and hes a millionaire

Ditto many others

No one gives a shit in hip hop cos its seen as a positive

Hip hop is morally moribund

The bigger a POS you are, the more celebrated and the more marketabl

Common had dozens of anti gay lyrics

Anyone give a shit today?
Does that stop him advertising Microsoft? No.

Eminem is no different.

Ice cube is an anti semite, prob still also anti Asian

Anyone stopping him making movies? No.

So stop your bitching.
