Prince surpasses 10 Million Spotify Listeners For the 1st time Prince has crossed the 10M listeners mark on Spotify.
Thanks to the new single Welcome 2 America (400k streams since release).
Most popular tracks on the platform are Purple Rain (254M streams), Kiss (225M), When Doves Cry (127M), Raspberry Beret (109M) and 1999 (73M).

Very surprised that When Doves Cry isn't tops, though I think it gets "split" because it's on so many compilations.

It's not. Most of these listeners probably only streamed Purple Rain or Kiss, some of his songs are included on Playlist with millions of followers. |

Most streaming numbers are manipulated by the industry to "increase" sales on the charts. That's how some one could beat Prince out of his number one debut slot for Lotusflow3r on the billboard top 200 (Prince was #2). 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment | |
