Which do u prefer? Prince's falsetto voice, natural voice,or camille voice?

for me its his natural voice like in Sigm o the times and doves cry amd little beds corvette.sound nice and masculine.the falsetto is very good but it sounds too feminine and CAMILLE sounds like hes on drugs...whats your favorite?

Split between the natural voice and falsetto but if really have to chose one it would be the falsetto because it leads to the Outrageously High Screams razz biggrin

They all have their artistic role in the tracks they are in.

Do I prefer a cello or a violin, or a Trumpet or a trombone

I prefer a body of work that has artistic merit and is always searching

I definitely prefer cello to violin and trombone to trumpet.

Can't pick from Prince's vocal ranges though, each has great songs.

RIP sad

I love Prince's falsetto, but I love all his vocal ranges. Camille is such a fun voice and I love how low he can go with his natual voice, but I think his falsetto is my favourite. He really knows how to sing that way, unlike so many others that try but are not very good at it.

Why would I prefer any of them?

They each are employed for different reasons and different effects. If he used only one range/style of his voice, he would be a lesser singer.

I like that he used the full range of his considerable vocal talents.

I've never understood when some people say 'I don't like the falsetto', or 'I don't like the Camille voice'.... makes no sense to me.

I have to say I liked it when he would go deep, especially those Gospel riffs, followed by oh, yeah. That was really sexy for this white girl.

I prefer Prince.

However, and it's not taking away from the albums, I wasn't always a fan of his falsetto on some of those songs from For You thru Dirty Mind. Many could have benefited from his regular voice. "Bambi," "Sister," "When You Were Mine," etc.

He butched up his voice (lowered his register) on "Bambi" for the second Rolling Stones opening gig.

I don't reckon it helped much.

That is a difficult question actually, I like all of them. His natural voice is likely my favorite though. The falsetto was great on some tracks, but it didn't always work during live performances, his falsetto often got drowned out by the sound of the band. The ONA dvd features some great live falsetto singing though, I think it was Gotta Broken Heart Again (iirc). Camille is just cool, I love it, but if I had to chose I would go with Prince's natural voice.

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
