I also admit that I do not "perfer" (There'll Never B) Another Like Me. That's another one of those songs where Prince is singing about himself ala Cream, Like A Mack and Life O The Party. He really was high on himself, wasn't he?

I do like Poom, Poom (it's so dopey but I love the vocal delivery) and Life O The Party.

The Flow is awesome and the actual music on Jughead fucking slams. If the latter were and instrumental, opinions would not be so harsh.

I acually like about 1/2 those songs in the OP so wtf do I know I guess?

Someone should make a "Very Worst of Prince" double album thread but it's probably been done already.

word... Jughead is almost as funky as Housequake...it has a similar bounce to it (the kick drum is the fault)...but i can see how the corny rhymes and lyrics turn some people off.. i dont mind it, im just there for the groove. [Edited 2/26/21 14:49pm]

What do you find wrong with "My Little Pill"? Especially in light of how he died?

The Arms of Orion. Best of the group. But also probably in my top... I don't know. Fifty? I've never made a list. But I like it, without any qualification of that statement.

Lemon Crush is good. The Flow's pretty good. I like the Prince vocal section of Da Da Da. I don't understand the negativity toward Grafitti Bridge--it's okay.

I know Jughead is bad. I'm not sure it really is, but it's a low point on its album, so... yeah, I guess that means it's bad.

I personally don't care for Mr. Happy (but I don't really remember it that well, because I don't like it), I Rock Therefore I Am (the obvious worst from its album), Boytrouble, or Purple and Gold (that's just so weird it's not worth calling bad, though--I mean, did it try to be good?).

I can't honstly remember Like A Mack. Did I like it? Listening now--yeah, that's okay. I mean, it's gimmicky and basic at the same time (the horns are nice)... and doesn't leave much of an impression after it's finished, obviously. I won't remember it by tomorrow.

That lyric alone is enough to put it in any worst songs list, even Prince soundalikes Exotic Storm with the lyrics "Bombs be droppin everywhere, they better not harm yo silky hair" is better than that jobba mess.

That lyric line never bothered me but I think those lyrics were trying to relate to the fact that Warner Brothers was known for gangster movies back in the early days of cinema. In a way, the first Batman film had those elements of gangsters, the noir cinema style and Art Deco sets.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Still, P wrote a song for Bonnie Raitt called 'I Need A Man" so yeah P can do projection well (he always had a gay side)... ya know P pretending to be a woman wanting a man and all that!

I'd remove "Lemon Crush", "I Rock Therefore", "Graffiti Bridge" and "Like A Mack" and add "Ronnie, Talk To Russia", "Right The Wrong", "Soo Be Doo"

I am NOT a ROSA fan (Rose tinted glasses where Prince is Hercules and the God of Music). He was a human being who made some good music, yet he still treated most of the people around him like shit and had very little filter on his post 1988 material.

Not every song he made was genius and he got very sloppy from the Batman album onwards. I see two Princes - the near demi God of 1978 - 1988 and the has been trying to repeat himself from 1989 to 2016 and occasionally succeeding.

Do you think songs like Boytrouble, Purple and Gold and Mr Happy would have made it on to an album like Parade or 1999 (Hell to the NO!!!!!)
