I've only been able to make it through Purple and Gold one time. Just one time. So, it tops my list as the worst.

But best of the worst, based only on this list here, is definitely Mr. Happy. I really like it. It doesn't throw a wrench into the proceedings when you're listening to Emancipation. Of the few tracks that featured Scrappy Doo, this one irks me the least.

I think the ones in bold are great songs. I don't hate any of Prince's music but I do have preferences. Why else would I spend so much on here?

Lemon Crush and I Rock There I Am have these AMAZING vocal performances (in particular the backing vocals. Have a listen to his studio genius) and The Flow has a great trombone solo. I mean....a trombone solo! And it's a cool little weirdo track. Always surprised when people don't like the weirdo tracks from the most successful left-field pop star of all time.

I do not "prefer" Boytrouble (not sure why it was on PE), Purple and Gold (it's way too twee for me) and Like A Mack (ok Prince yes we know you are the greatest, k?). Grafitti Bridge is also twee but all the Prince tracks on that soundtrack are top-shelf and so it stays.

I got a feeling quite a few people don't mind Lemon Crush in particular.

But totally agree with lots.

Boytrouble - ok i admit i had to go on spotify to remind myself what this track is. Not great. Agree.

Lemon Crush - love this track. 7/10

Da da da - love this track too. 8/10

Mr Happy - not a great track either but he's done worse. Not sure this is bad enough for the list. Undecided.

Purple and Gold - what was his obsession with taking the rock opera / musical of bohemian rhaspody and making it really cringy. Totally deserving to be in the list. AGREE.

Jughead - the head that is jug - no list of doodoo would be complete without it. JUGHEAD.

Grafitti Bridge - it's bad, it's really bad... deserves to be here. Agree.

The Flow - I hide behind the sofa when i hear this. Agree.

Like a Mack - my guilty pleasure - i love this track ... lol... 7/10

Arms Of Orion - mediocre but not a total douglas. Disagree.

Although I generally dislike Prince's '90s output, his attempts at Rap/hip-hop, and anything with Tony M, I confess that I absolutely love The Flow. I think it's great. I think Like a Mack is pretty darn good, too. Never understood why people hate on it. And I kind of like Graffiit Bridge and I Rock Therefore I Am.

I will even defend Purple & Gold: I think part of the problem was people were expecting a rousing rock anthem, like something from Queen. But that wasn't Prince's goal. He wanted to make a traditional fight song. If you judge it in that light, he succeed -- he created a traditional fight song... which is more evidence of his musical versititily and ability to be a muscial chemelioan. I also love when he just does whatever he wants, no matter how goof, without regard for whether the result will be popular. Purple and Gold may sould goofy to us, but any traditional fight song would.

Jughead crushes. Even has Housequake elements. Love it.

Some of you have really speculative taste.

Lemon Crush is fantastic. Boytrouble has excellent verses by Lizzo and Sophia Eris. The Flow is a banger - especially with Tony M edited out (thanks Ernest!). Da Da Da has a scorching groove and some awesome guitar and wonderful vocals - I'd love a version without Scrap D or whomever. Mr Happy might not be his magnum opus but its still a cool track in the grand scheme of its project.

I never understood the hate for "Arms of Orion". I think the song is absolutely beautiful!

RIGHT?? I am not a big fan of that album, but this sticks out. Anything with a TROMBONE SOLO is automatically cool imo

The others on this list the only two I can't get through are Purple and Gold and Graffiti Bridge. The others have their moments.

They hate on Boy Trouble is ridiculous, if you don't like the lead vocal, tune it out, because behind it is one of the most purple tracks he put out in the latest of his years. I hope he reused that backing track on another song or preceding song (as he often did with stuff) to show you.

graffiti bridge is the worst track on this list, purple and gold is really close to being worst, but one's a random one-off track that no one cares about and the other is the title track to an album so y'know how it is

you're missing (There'll Never B) Another Like Me, Poom Poom and Life O The Party...

well, I guess Poom Poom was intentional but still.... lol

Some diverse opinions here and I knew that some songs would cause an out pouring of annoyance. It is just my opinions after all.

I love 99% of his music, but none of those cuts do it for me and yet some songs I like, others hate. I can't see why people don't like Wedding Feast or Animal Kingdom - they are great and experimental.

Of all of those cuts, Boytrouble is the pits, it sounds like a Selena Gomez type cast off way beneath Prince's ability - the fact it is really just a "girlfriend" track says more. The quality of Girlfriend songs and tracks was always much lower after 1990 (Mayte, Carmen, Tamar, Bria, 3EG etc).
