you could make an argument for Plectrumelectrum and Art Official Age as both albums hit the top 10 in the US. i think his presentation for Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammy’s will be forever remembered, too. at least, i hope it will. | |

The New Girl episode aired after the Super Bowl and had a LOT of viewers. It also generated a few lower-tier gifs (the butterfly landing on his shoulder, smirking into the camera at the finale performance, the pancakes). Probably his biggest mainstream moment of the decade.
Of course, sadly, his biggest commercial moment of the decade came after his death. 19 albums on the BB200 and half of the top ten (including another number one with TVBOP). Before that probably Art Official Age and the performance on SNL promoting it. |
