Well, not "best" to "worse", but in order of how much I like them: . 1) Sign 'O' The Times 2) Purple Rain 3) Around The World In A Day 4) 1999 5) Lovesexy 6) Batman 7) Dirty Mind 8) The Black Album 9) Parade 10) Controversy . Although it's definitely a five-star masterpiece, "Purple Rain" is at #2 for nostalgic reasons. Otherwise it would probably be #4, and #2 and #3 would move up a position.
EDITED TO INCLUDE: I always forget about "The Black Album". I didn't get it until the 1994 reissue, so it's never present in my brain as an 80s-era album. [Edited 1/9/21 9:07am] |
