I can relate to that."Valentina" is one of my favorite prince songs but I believe it's disliked by many here [Edited 12/29/20 9:31am]

I like "Valentina" as it fits the tone of the album very well and it's a good groove.
I also like most of the lyrics. There are some weird lines yes but the song is solid

Version #2 Big Tall Wall aka the stripped version has always been fire. Version #1 is just a different type of sound as it's bouncy/vibrant whereas Version#2 is straight raw funk.

The reason why #2 is good is because indeed there is no harmony, it IS cold brecause

the lyrics are much harder to grasp with that repeating drumbeat, nearly annoying, but very driven.

While in #1 these same lyrics sound rather cynical due to the bright and colourful melodies.
